I literally cried my eyes out. This is my first acceptance, and probably sending in the deposit today 🙂 GL for the rest of u, check ur mail it maybe waiting.
 
the letter was dated the 8th but the postmark was for the 10th.

I don't get mail till like 2-3ish. Where do you live? It took friday and saturday to get there...

I called this morning, no action has been taken on my file. For people in the *no action* pool can hear anytime from "now till matriculation."

I interviewed mid april, and live in NY if that helps those waiting.
 
Guys, I called. The lady took my info (name and AMCAS ID) and then said that someone will call me back about my status.

What does that mean? I've never gotten that before.....I'm so nervous and beaten.

Whenever I got that, they emailed me the next day. I have never gotten the "call" back though. Hopefully a positive decision was made on your application :luck:
 
Heston, I just realized it's lunch time there. Maybe whoever can access the files is out on lunch?

Gosh. Why don't they just tell me. Why does it have to be this complicated. :scared: :scared: I could speculate all I want about why she said that over the phone, but it's probably not going to get me anywhere.

Please, please, put me out of my misery. Let this drawn out process come to an end.
 
All I know is, if they sent something, I probably would have received it by now. DrCurious is in NY, so that makes sense it took so long.

It was postmarked the 10th, so even though they met on the 8th (according to the letter) they didnt send it out till friday. So some of you may not get it till later today, tomorrow, or even the next day depending on your post office.

Thanks for the info! I'm in San Diego... Now I can be extra nervous as I check the mailbox this week.
 
Congrats DrCurious. I interviewd on the 8th so I am not expecting anything today unless they made decisions on us the same day of the interview. doubt it though. The waiting continues, do not lose hope. Good luck everyone.

I kinda thought I'd hear sooner....I guess I was wrong. Keep in mind, though, that it's not even May 15th yet and they haven't compiled their waitlist (i was told it would happen post the infamous date).

I wanted to let you all know that I withrew my acceptance from RFU today. I was sad to withdraw, but I am happy that this results in an open spot for one of you 🙂

This is what i got in my email after asking CMS about my application:

"As of today, there hasn’t been any action taken on your file (acceptance/rejection). The committee will be sending out acceptances throughout the admissions process to maintain a full class. Please let us know if you have any further questions."

Sound familiar?

I can't sleep. I have a feeling this is how life will be for the next 2 and half months :scared:

No acceptance in the mail for me yesterday...must feel good to be Curious. Let's all get that feeling in the upcoming weeks.

I know, for so long I have wondered how it feels to open a letter and see those magic words. As for me, failure and rejection has become so routine that its normal for me.
