2018 Roseman University of Health Sciences (Applying 2014 Cycle, Entering 2015)

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
i dont think it would be fair for the others if we were to tell you what questions they exactly asked. Just be yourself . They want you to feel comfortable anyway
I would say it's fair because people have no excuse but to blame themselves for not researching every possible resource to help them out in getting into the school of their choice. One reason I joined SDN.

This is the first I've ever heard of this.

when i register for the PCAT how do i know if there is available space at the place I chose on the date I have chosen?
It tells me to pay right when I choose my date and place I want to take my test, but it does not give me an exact location and exact date.
It just says for example January 6-7 2015 and Gardena. It does not say one date and one address. Can anyone explain to me how this works please?

You pay first. Then you choose your location and date.

Arrived 3 minutes late for check in due to the fact that I first parked and roamed the dental college. Oops! No worries though. Sat down and chatted in the student Commons with other potential applicants. A few minutes later we went in to the p1 classroom for interview orientation where we learned a little about the curriculum, financial aid, and the dual MBA program. Then back to the student Commons to chat with some p1s. My interview wasn't until 3:30. Then Dr. Oswald led me back to her office where I interviewed for about 20-25 minutes with her and a p1. Very friendly... I unfortubately, no questions came from SDN, so I wasn't as prepared as I hoped. They made the situation as comfortable as possible. I feel it went pretty well. Then back to the student Commons where they then called a few of us at a time to go on a campus tour with a p1. Then it was over!

This is on point. I was there on that day except my interview was at 4:00. There were 18 of us. Surprisingly, I thought there would be more of us. Anyways I had Dr. Dey (a great professor) and a P1 student as my interviewers. I agree, they did not mention any questions that came from SDN. However, the questions they asked weren't hard or tricky. I feel like all the interviewers wanted us to feel comfortable as possible and only wanted to get to know us more other than what is written on the application. Overall, I feel like my interview went pretty well.

P.S. the library is not THAT small according to what others said. Plus there are enough study rooms for students to study at 🙂

yes I understand where you are coming from but note that there is still one more interview day for early decision applicants which is on the 14th before the admission finally decides who to accept. It wouldnt be fair for those who had the interview yesterday who did not expectthe kind of questions the interviewers asked. i thought the questions would be similar to the ones on the sdn forum but they weren't. Yet, I did try my best to answer their questions. giving out questions will be quite an advatange for those who have interviews on the 14th but it is a great disadvantage and perhaps may affect our chance of getting in for those who had interview on the 6th since we did not know what questions they would ask.

Totally understandable. Goodluck, I hope all of you get in!

Call Pearson Vue (not PCAT). I got the number from the PCAT website under contact I believe. They will tell you what you need to know regarding open seats if any, at the location of your choice. This is how I knew my preferred location had open seats before I registered and paid for test. Good luck

So this question is for current students: how are you liking the Pharmacy program at Roseman so far? Is there anything that makes you regret choosing to go there?
I dont regret anything so far.. Just that I heard Utah campus is much better than Henderson campus, maybe I should have joined that campus. But I am from CA, so still advantage being in vegas.

In what ways have you heard that it is better?

Is anybody else a general admission applicant like me?

I'm really curious as to when we should be expecting to hear about interview invites.
Hey, i just sent an email to Dr. Benson regarding interview for regular admission. Did you ever find out anything about regular admission interview?

I tried calling but it took me straight to an answering machine. I assume they're really busy right now. I'll email as well and let you know if I get a response. Please update me as well!

Does anyone received call from Dr. Park about ED admission decision?

I just got a call from Dr Park but she didn't leave a msg and I didn't answer because I didn't know it was her and I was in class. I reverse directory searched the phone number after and it was her office phone number.

I am going crazy now. I wish I had answered the dang phone when it rang.

hey congratulations everyone who got in and good luck for others!

You should really contact admissions. I'm sorry, I really am not familiar with your situation.

That's a long time. I could have swore I remembered last year's interviews began in November? That seems pretty strange. Did they say why they are holding your application? Is it because you don't have 5/8 Prereqs completed?

I really thought that interviews start in November too. But who knows. Maybe they will send out invitations for some people during this month for november and january interviews like they did last year. And yes, I only have 4 prereqs at the moment so i have to wait til my fall grades are in... I'm so sad when I was informed that. Is your app completely complete? Lol

If you mean have I finished all my prereqs, than no. I applied for academic forgiveness so I'm finishing my last two prereqs this semester, Speech & English lol. Yes, my app is completely done. I submitted everything at the end of August. Probably should've done ED but I was apprehensive about putting all my eggs in one basket. I think it was smart because I have 2 acceptances already, one of which is a great backup if I don't get into Roseman.

I'm sorry to hear that. I think you should be fine tho because I know a few people that interviewed in March and still got in. I wouldn't worry. Just put it out of your mind for now and focus on the classes you have. Best of luck! I'll be pulling for you to get in!

Which school is better? School in Nevada or Utah? I picked Nevada but I never seen the school in Utah.

Thank you! I guess that all i can do right now. Gotta get those good grades in. I submitted all my stuff around mid-August but obviously nothing will get done til December lol. But it's a good thing i got everything in and ready.
She told me to send my grades directly to Pharmcas. Does this mean i have to wait for them to verfied everything again? 😱:wideyed::dead:

Were you invited for a supplemental or did you just submit one?

I believe so but it should be much quicker this time around. That's what I think any way.

For anyone accepted to henderson, a few p1s have joined the Facebook page. Hopefully, it will eventually be a great resource for us during our schooling, but right now it could be a great way to meet some p1s and get some questions answered! See previous post with link to henderson c/o 2018 fb page! Thanks
