Yeah I am not sure. I don’t know either if it would do anything to email Kasie to mention it. I’m not sure the process for everything since it’s my first time applying.

Hey everyone, just a quick update that hopefully gives you all some hope. Two people from our FB group dropped because they are committing to another program. One person recently joined our group coming off from the wait list. I do not know what # they were but most likely in the top 5.

Hopefully we will see more movement on the wait list these up coming weeks. I know how stressful it can be as I was in your shoe last cycle. Do not give up!

Not sure if it’s just me, but I still haven’t gotten an email with an updated waitlist. Am I the only one?

I haven't heard anything either. Have you asked about the whole "#11" situation? Did they give you an answer about why there were a few people with the same position on the waitlist?

Hello.

I emailed Kasie asking about this a few weeks ago and she confirmed with me that there aren't multiple #11s on the waitlist and that I was the only #11 on the list she had. Then she said we should be getting another update at the end of that week but it has been nothing but dead silence.

I also sent an email, but haven’t heard anything. I received a first update waitlist email in Feb and my # was 11 of 150. So weird..

I am also still #11 and haven’t heard anything since the February email. Maybe we should all contact her saying we are all #11?
 
Honestly kind of disappointed with this application. I don't understand how there has absolutely been no movement on the waitlist at all. And it doesn't make sense that multiple people have the same numbers. It just raises questions on if the waitlist system was even conducted properly (in my opinion). 🙁

I feel you! They haven’t done monthly updates either. I was expecting to get another updates last month.

I have to work during the time of the zoom session but you’re more than welcome to put a word in for me! My name is Rebecca Robinson, and I’ve always been #11 as well
 
well just got my email saying that I am still 13. Not sure how that’s possible with people on this forum saying the changes that have occurred. Seems a bit funky to me.

I moved up a bit
 
I moved up 8 positions and agree that this application has been surprisingly disappointing. Also for those of you with the same waitlist number, when i reached out to Kasie back in February she clarified with me then that there shouldn’t be applicants with the same waitlist number. Hopefully that helps and you guys can sort that out. 🙂
 
My email said that I have moved from #11 to #9 on the wait-list. It does seem pretty weird that the list has only moved two spaces given that more than two people from this post and other similar posts have stated they have dropped their spot or acceptance.

So how is it that my spot didn’t move since you were in front of me?? I’m so confused.
 
Hi everyone! I spoke to Kasie and asked for an update—she’s working on sending out an email for us on the waitlist (she says hopefully by tomorrow) because there has been quite a bit of movement. She also mentioned that there has been a withdrawal this morning 😊

I got an updateeee, but confused bc she said someone withdrew and I’m still the same number 🙃

Really? That's strange because in an email she sent me after I contacted her, she told me there hasn't been any movement in the class yet. Kasie also told me that she is waiting to hear back from all the accepted applicants before she announces movement to anyone on the waitlist but it doesn't seem to be clear when that might be.
 
I emailed Kasie yesterday and she said she doesn't expect anyone to drop from the class so she basically told me to move on. I thought I would pass it on to everyone that is still holding out hope on the waitlist. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Hi! I' applying for this current cycle and I was wondering if any accepted students here could answer my question about the supplemenal essays for Samuel Merritt

I know the answers we give are very important, but did you do a more comversational, casual style or did you write an essay more akin to your personal statement wrt time/effort/style?
