So this may be a little early for this post, but I'm curious... The SAVMA Symposium is going to be held in WI (my home state) next March. Looking at the 2009 information (savmasymposium2009.com), it looks like a really interesting and educational event.

Are pre-vet students allowed to attend or is it current vet students only? My small school doesn't have a pre-vet club, and I'm just a little too far to volunteer to help.

Current vet students only--But there is also a pre-vet symposium held every year for pre-vet students (always at a different location than the vet student symposium though)

THE Ohio State University put on one heck of a Symposium this year. Again it is only open to current Veterinary Students, but there is also a Pre-Vet Symposium that is held every year. This past year the APVMA symposium was held at the University of Illinois. They have a website as well that you can google.

I don't know where it is going to be next year, but I went to two years of APVMA and had a great time at Michigan State, and Penn State!

I'm looking forward to University of Wisconsin in 2010 and University of California at Davis for 2011!!

I hope this helps!
