Hi! I would love if anyone could suggest some more schools that I can add to my list (adding 5-8 more max). I will be applying for MD only due to financial reasons. Thanks!

GPA: sgpa 3.79 and cgpa 3.82, grad cgpa 3.94, math major
MCAT: 506 with super low CARS (I won’t get my actual score until the day before app opens)
State: California
Race: ORM
Clinical: 3500 hrs paid, 100 hrs volunteer
Non-clinical volunteer: 200 hrs essay editing for a middle school (I know that some people might not count this as nonclinical but as teaching, but I'll have to work with this for this cycle)
Research:
  • Multiple labs with no common theme: 1044 + 960 + 435 + 686 (+ projected 1046) hrs
  • 5 posters (there's more, but won't be putting everything)
  • 2 publications, 2 in progress (all high authorship)
Leadership:
  • 260 hrs - Co-chair of the department’s student committee
Shadowing - 60 hrs total
Teaching - 740 (TA for three classes + private tutoring)
Honors/Awards: scholarship
Letters: 3 lab PIs, 2 science/math, (possibly 1 prof I TA for)
Notes and questions:
  • Most meaningful: wet lab, dry lab, and my paid clinical experience
  • I had to work 1-2 jobs throughout college and now due to personal reasons, which explains why my hours in research, paid clinical, and teaching categories are high
  • I have an odd situation where I don’t have anyone to ask for in my clinical job with a high # of hrs, but I do have my timesheet over the years. Can I just put the organization’s official number as a contact?

Welcome to the forums.

1) Is 506 a real score or a practice? We prefer a "real score" to suggest schools for you, but you probably know that your 506 makes it tough. Remove Stanford. You need to add DO schools at this point.

2) Your lack of impactful service orientation activities limits your mission fit and risks your application to getting screened out.

3) Are you an engineering or physical science major? If not, Arizona State should be removed.

I have an odd situation where I don’t have anyone to ask for in my clinical job with a high # of hrs, but I do have my timesheet over the years. Can I just put the organization’s official number as a contact
It's not that uncommon. If you don't have a supervisor, check your human resources office.
