SDN Secret Santa: Summer 2018 Edition

The Dealio
Due to popular demand and success last year, Trilt and Filly's idea of secret santa is back for round two! Yes, you're thinking 'but it's June...' and we don't care. Presents are always fun. This round, there will be a semi-official focus on gifts for the pets in our lives. Don't have a pet or your pet doesn't need anything else? Never fear, you can still participate...your santa will just get something for you! This time, myself (@JaynaAli) and @cdoconn are your moderators.

For those not familiar with the idea, Secret Santa is a gift exchange where you are anonymously matched to another participant and buy them a gift. Of course, the fun part is, you also receive a gift from anonymous Secret Santa who has extensively researched your preferences (aka the survey form we will send out) and picked out something juuussst right. (Read more here if you're unfamiliar).

The Rules & Expectations
If you sign up, you are expected to send a gift... or one of the participants will be sad and left out. Don't do this. Last year I believe everyone who signed up participated, so there are high standards. You may be publically shamed if you sign up and don't send a gift.

Obviously, we will need your address for this. This information will not be distributed to anyone else beyond your Secret Santa.

Suggested gift value is approximately $20; there is no limit, per se, nor are you required to spend that much - just generally try and be reasonable. Handmade gifts are awesome!

If you sign up and are not an SDN regular, please toss @JaynaAli and @cdoconn a PM just confirming your interest. We want to include everyone but don't want anyone to sign up on a whim then never follow through.

The Deadlines
Signups are closed.

We will obviously be sending out confirmatory PMs with more information, but would like gifts to be shipped by July 22nd. After they are sent we would like a tracking number to pass to the recipient, or if not, at least a PM with a heads up that it was shipped. Again, more info on specifics after sign-ups but just want to set basics.

You will be randomly paired. International people welcome...there is a question regarding whether you are willing to ship internationally so let us know if you're willing and we'll make sure things (semi)"randomly" work out accordingly.
