Hey all,

I am planning on doing a second look this weekend at a program that I am moderately interested in (more or less for my own benefit). I have read the recent posts on second looks and all.

What I was wondering is what sort of attire is expected. I was planning on wearing shirt and tie but would it be OK if I wore scrubs? I would be much more comfortable in scrubs and I would probably blend in more in scrubs but I don’t want to make a poor impression. If anyone who has done second looks could fill me in on what they wore then I would appreciate it.

Thanks

I suggest a wrestling singlet.

Seriously, everyone I've seen just wears scrubs...

Socks...nothing else.

Well I followed this post's advice and wore a singlet to my second look today. I was successful in getting a few numbers from some of the more attractive nurses (both male and female). The residents and faculty were a bit put off though and asked me to go and change. As suggested by the last poster I changed into socks and nothing else. I think that they were intimidated by my free spiritedness or maybe something else. They kicked me out of the department and tore up my application right there in front of me. Thanks SDN...blindly following your advice has cost me any chance of matching in EM.

Thanks caveman,

Now I know what the hell a singlet is. I guess I don't watch enough quality TV anymore.

Take care,
Jeff

Now that you know what a singlet is, may I introduce you to the unitard.

Just go to the costumes link and then find the Tron costume.

Dude! That is wrong on SO many levels. I think I need therapy now.

Of course, the truly scary thing is that you knew about that costum!

Take care,
Jeff

I too wish to horrify my prospective future residency program.

(flipping through catalog index for "over the shoulder boulder holder"...)
