Hello,

Does anyone have ideas or experience regarding reaching out to community organizations to hold immunization clinics. I have tried calling local companies but most don't seem too interested in having a pharmacist come to their location for an IMZ event. Just wondering if anyone have had any success with this and don't mind sharing how.

Scout out senior centers and nursing homes. Are you billing them an hourly rate? That might be why they are not interested.

Doesn't everyone get free flu shots with their insurance? Why would anyone pay for it?

not billing hourly, retail chain pays for the hours worked.

If they have insurance through work or commercial, it’s free. Maybe issue is finding companies/places that will allow pharmacist to come to their location to hold an event

We have a lot of luck with senior apartment complexes and group homes. Dentists offices tend to appreciate us coming but rarely have enough staff to make the clinic worthwhile. We've gone to a few churches too, but turnout is pretty hard to predict

How about schools?

Seems like a waste of time if you work at a store that does 100 shots a weekday (Reddit link). Prob busy work so your DM can show his district is "doing something"

I'd be lucky to get 100 a week because "I dOnT wAnT tO gEt SiCk"
