Shadowing a DO in Baltimore, MD or Northern Virginia

Does anyone know of any DO in the DMV region who would want to welcome a shadow? I have a pretty solid resume and character references. I just decided that I'm primarily applying to DO schools so I want to get more shadowing under my belt. 🙂

Try hitting up the nearest DO school and see if there is an alumni directory of some sort. Chances are the school can hook you up with DOs in the area and they may be willing to help you out since you heard about them via their alma mater

I'm from Northern VA and it was not easy. I went on http://doctorsthatdo.org/ and did a search using my zip code. I cold-called about 15-20 physicians until I found one who I could shadow. Many were encouraging and offered to discuss OMM/write letters, but worked in practices that were not conducive to hosting students.
