Okay, I know this question may seem a little "dumb", but I really need to know. When shadowing a podiatrist, what are you supposed to wear? I obviously know something nice, but how nice? lol. I mean, for us ladies, can we wear jeans with a nice shirt/sweater and low-heel shoes, or do we have to wear dress pants, or can we just wear everyday clothes? Thanks!

Usually you do want to look nice and professional. When you apply you do need a letter of recommendation from a health professional and usually it is the doctor that you shadow that writes that. You need to let them see that your as passionate and professional.

Plus i would suggest asking the doctor you shadow as they might have a dress code. the one i went to had me wearing semi formal, but another one i used to wear srubs so it just depends.

I wear a suit when I shadow but that's just me. Patients seem to like it a lot.

I wear a dress shirt + tie.... no coat. Then change into scrubs when I'm allowed (invited) to go into the OR.
