Hey everyone!
I just graduated undergrad and I'm not sure if I should apply to dental school this cycle. I'm going to be doing a masters starting in the fall and I was thinking about possibly applying this cycle and sending my updated transcript after I finish the first semester of my masters. The problem is, I have a sub 3.0 GPA, but my DAT score is competitive. I was thinking about applying to RSDM, Western, Roseman, and LECOM so I can get my application out there and if I don't get in, I can say I'm a re-applicant next cycle.
Do you think doing this would hurt me more than help me?

Thanks!

I think you should apply. If it's a 2.9, you're bound to get into those schools of your DAT makes up for the gpa and if you have a bunch of extra curriculars

The only disadvantage is if you don't improve your application from one cycle to the next.

give it a try, who knows

also they give u 3 schools free to send the app to if you qualify for the Financial Assistance thing. So if you apply to those 3, you will only shell out the cost of their secondaries. So I say give it a try, you wont be putting yourself in too much debt and at the same time, can be considered a reapplicant next cycle
