I'm an osteopathic student that wants to go into internal medicine and hopefully subspecialize aftewards.
I have the usmle scheduled for a week from now and the comlex a few days afterwards.

My practice scores are as follows:
Usmle:
NBME 15 (6 weeks out): 200
NBME 16 (4 weeks out): 205
UWSA 2 (3 weeks out): 222
NBME 17 (2 weeks out): 219
NBME 18 (1 week out): 219

Comlex:
Combank Self Assessment 2 (3 weeks out): 588-590
COMSAE form E (2 weeks out): 622

I started with a goal score of 230 for step 1 and a 600 for comlex. After looking at different forum posts/watching the progression of my nbmes, I decided somewhere in the 220's would be a better goal to try and keep doors open for a DO student. However, I took nbme 18 today and still only got a 219, so I haven't broken 220 on an nbme yet. I don't know what the chances are that I'd actually make it on the real deal without having done it on an nbme yet. If I can potentially pull off a 580-600 on the comlex, should I still take the usmle even with the risk of potentially getting a 215-220 instead of mid 220's-230? Or would a 580-600 comlex score look better alone?

Take it. Unless you've literally slacked off the last 2 weeks I would say you probably will hit around a 220.
