So after being placed on "screener's alternate" I got a letter today saying:

This is to notify you that SIU has completed the process of selecting applicants to interview for the entering class of 2006. Your application to our school has now been denied.

Well then! Could they have been a little meanier? Denied?

I really don't like that word.

I am pissed to say the least. Anyone else get this?

I saw those same words last application cycle. I agree, they can be pretty brutal. Take heart though. Call erin graham in admissions and she'll pull up your file and give it to you straight what you need to do for next year (if you dont get in anywhere else this year).

Damn, I didnt get that letter until May last time....their class must be filling up hella fast. good luck with the rest of your apps!
