The answer would, of course, be "as high as possible." Generally, SMPs are used to prove that your previously low GPA is not representative of your potential in medical school. Thus, I'd go one step further to say that the lower your UG GPA, the higher your SMP GPA theoretically needs to be. You'd definitely want to shoot for at least a 3.5+.
