Hello there,

I am currently a confused 4th year pharmacology student searching for something that I would like to tod after I graduate this year. Although I do enjoy some aspects of research, I don't think that I would like to do that for my career. Recently, I found out about this Master of Public Health program and it interests me a lot, because it is also still related with health care and helping people, but does not involve direct research.

My question is: is it common for people to just hold a MPH degree without a MD or a PhD? and if so, does a MPH alone give enough opportunity job wise?

Thanks in advanced!

I can only comment on the situation in Australia, but plenty of people here have MPHs and aren't docs or PhDs. Most then (suprisingly enough) go on to work in public health roles eg. primary health care promotion, health policy...
