really?! it says that if you don't get it in within 10 days, they will examin your app more thoroughly? geez, that's harsh...i can get in my app but not my letters =(

also, i don't think they expect the letters to be in their hands within 10days, probably just mailed at least. how could they possibly file and get to reading all those letters in just 10 days?

actually, the application does not say that it will be examined differently if you don't make the deadline, its just a recommended deadline.

sorry about this silly question...but what constitutes a "unit" on question 7? so if i take semester courses...is that 4 units (similar to 4 semester hours on AMCAS)??? i'm so confused!
thanks for the help!

any UCLA grads here? i didn't take 6 quarters of chemistry lab, and i suspect no one from UCLA did either. what are we supposed to put down as an explanation for this? labs were available but not a requirement so i didn't take them... i don't think this will pass as an excuse though. anyone having similar problems?

6 quarters of Chem Lab? I don't think there are that many!
I took the Chem 20 series, so you have chem 20L, 30L, 130AL, and 130BL. 4 labs max, and most people only take up to 130AL for med school.

yeah that's exactly what i did. i took the 20 series: 20L, 30L, 130AL and stopped there. however, stanford requires 3 quarters of inorganic chem with lab and 3 quarters of organic chem with lab for a total of 6 quarters of lab. i could also include 153AL for an inorganic lab, but i'm still short. should i just tell them that ucla doesn't offer labs for every course? i suppose i could fulfill their requirements but then i'd have to take a lot more classes (not to mention go back to school). thanks.

Hey you guys are all making me wonder here ... I thought Stanford was somewhere in the stratosphere in terms of no one gets in. But you all seem like a pretty diverse bunch and a variety of stats so maybe I would have a chance too.
