It's now Tuesday on the east coast and my fsmb page still says "Status: Approved Your Step 3 application has been approved. You may schedule your exam on any date prior to your eligibility period expiration date. If you are unable to take the exam during your initial eligibility period, you may qualify for a one-time only extension. To request an eligibility extension, click the “Apply for Eligiblity Extension” link on the physician portal." Gonna be gnawing at those fingernails for the next 24h.

Edit: expired this morning with no link to reapply, hopefully this works.

Message says
Your Step 3 application has expired. You may begin a new Step 3 application at your convenience.

That was my experience as well but I passed with a comfortable margin. On 1 cc’d case I made no progress towards treatment and consulted everyone. ‍

Hi Everyone,

I took my Step 3 day one on 10/17/19 Thursday and 2nd day on 10/29/2019 Tuesday. When should I be expecting my USMLE Step 3 result.

11/13 (3rd wednesday) or 11/20

I don't see any link to reapply since I took the exam. I saw link to print out my scheduling permit and when I click on it, it would not open up and that message appears: "Application error: Permit is not available. The candidate may have sat for the exam or the registration is no longer active."


I still don't get what the trick is about.


My FSMB has that message: "Your Step 3 application has been approved. You may schedule your exam on any date prior to your eligibility period expiration date. If you are unable to take the exam during your initial eligibility period, you may qualify for a one-time only extension. To request an eligibility extension, click the “Apply for Eligiblity Extension” link on the physician portal."


I do not see a yellow botton below that message to reapply...


I am so scared right now.

I am getting the same message when i click on scheduling permit since last two weeks. Totally scared and similar sitution like u

Same! I just don't recall ever seeing a link to reapply, even like a couple days after taking the test. I'm not sure where such a link would be. My status is still at "approved" too.

How was the exam for you? I made stupid mistakes and I felt like guessing in too many questions...

Oh yeah so many mistakes here. I honestly could've failed haha. I did a UWSA2 and was in the 220s about 10 days before so hopefully that translates. People kept saying day 2 was better for them but honestly i thought both days were rough. Couple cases I couldn't figure out too. Seems to be pretty common that everyone feels like they failed afterwards though.

I had four cases that were rough... The first day I felt like I was guessing in about ~50% of the questions. 3 blocks in day 2 were ok, but the other 3 were rough. I did not take any practice exam.

You definitely will pass after scoring 220 in Uworld. Most people I know score better on the real exam than Uworld. A few score more than 20+ points.

Hopefully! Are we supposed to see the "print permit" link disappear from the FSMB site on sunday?

For those of us hoping to receive our scores this Wednesday, should we expect our permit link to expire sometime today (Sunday)?

permit link gone yesterday morning.
Fsmb status expired this morning, no yellow link of death. But eligibility extension approved. My extension will expire december 31st. Anybody on the same boat?
Hope trick works.

From what I understand. I'm wondering if the score report is supposed to be on the NBME page where all the other reports for Step were found.
