I went to an interview day about 2 weeks ago for the Stony Brook OT program...I am going CRAZY waiting to hear something back and was wondering if anyone who went has heard anything yet? Thanks! 🙂

Thanks 😉 I got into Downstate and SB; Waitlisted at NYU and Columbia and turned down the interview at Touro....I think I'm going to go for SB 🙂 How about you?

On the phone the director said that we would be getting information in the mail...so far I haven't gotten anything yet, but I am so excited! 🙂 Congratulations!!

I interviewed on the 10th as well! And still waiting to hear back. I was contemplating contacting them to see if there is a rough estimate on when we would receive decisions. I know someone who interviewed for the PT program and after a month of waiting she contacted SB and they told her there were still more interviews being conducted and that decisions wouldn't be made until all interviews were completed. I wonder if it will be the same for us. I can't wait either!! So excited!!!!!!

I hope there are more interviews being conducted! I submitted my app to OTCAS on 1/21 and it was verified on 2/9, so I am hoping to hear something in the next few weeks. Good luck to all!

Just FYI, there was a round of interviews this past Saturday (3/10). Was anyone else told they needed to get their references sent directly to SB despite having all three complete on OTCAS? I am a little confused by that, honestly...and so is OTCAS...

The 2/10 interview people were told have transcripts sent directly to SB but they didn't mention the references. The director told me it was because they just want their own copy despite otcas already having them. What does the piece of paper say that they made you sign? The conditions of acceptance. That should have everything on there that you will owe them. Also, did you get a sense of when we would hear back?

It's a little complicated, but what Dr. Rodriguez told me was that I needed to submit my references directly to SB, separately from the ones that OTCAS had on file. I guess that is similar to what she said regarding transcripts to you. As for when we would hear back, "the next few weeks" is the best I can guess.
