So anyways, I'm wondering about this huge jump in scores I just had.

I had been making scores in the 25-28 range from 3 tests. Then in my last test I made a 37. This was also Kaplan FL 6 which I read a post that said is a confidence booster.

Are these jumps possible or was it just a combination of an easy test and good luck?

Could be both. I've heard of lots of people having a jump at some point during their studying. It's usually 4-5 points, but combined with the fact that this test seems to be a "confidence booster" it's definitely possible. Let us know after your next practice test... either way, congrats on an awesome practice test! :)

Took another one today and made a 32. Guess kaplan 6 was sort of a confidence boost but I do feel that there has been great improvement...hopefully.

They have all been Kaplan and the first AAMC.

I've taken 5 in the past month they ranged from
25(AAMC 3), 28(K FL4) , 29 (K FL5), 37 (K FL6) 32(K FL7)

The AAMC was at April 16 and these 4 tests have been the last 7 days.

Since your tests are fluctuating, it is due to the different topics on the various tests. In other words, you have some glaring weaknesses that when targeted, nail you, badly. You have to find out what those weaknesses are because they are evident by your scores. Do NOT dismiss any wrong answer as a "stupid mistake." You made that error for a reason. Go over your tests again.

Some things to keep in mind when reviewing:

1. Why did you get the question wrong? Why did you get the question right?
2. What question types get you?
3. How is your mindset when facing a particular passage?
4. Are you stressed for time?
5. Where are your mistakes happening the most? Are they front loaded? Are they at the end? All over?
6. What was your thought process for both the questions you got right and the ones you got wrong?
7. For verbal, what was the author's mindset and main idea?
8. Did you eliminate all of the answer choices you could from first glance?
ex. You know an answer should be a positive number so you cross out all of the negative number answer choices.
9. What content areas are you weak in?
10. How can you improve so you don't make the same mistake again?

Also, Kaplan FL 7 and up aren't that good as practice FLs. Focus on the rest of Kaplan 1-6 and the AAMC FLs.
