don't smile a lot because the ADCOM might think you are mischievous and have issues. Keep on the serious face
because you are here to settle business! Don't be too serious or else the ADCOM would think you are pissed off
At the end of the interview bash them with many questions as possible! you are the interviewer now! to wrap it up ask them this question "Why should I go to your school?"
Just BTW: I smiled the whole time. 😀

Hello nervoushabit, please don't be offended. I wonder is that true of your GPA 2.97? You already get accepted? Is that GPA your overall GPA? Do you have BS/BA degree? I am just curious
And Yes, I did get accepted. And if you're wondering, I'm doing quite well this year, and my GPA will be much higher by the end of this semester. Everyone is evaluated individually, and circumstances like mine do happen.
it must be her smile that got her in![]()
I don't even know how to respond to that...............................😛
hahaha i dunno maybe it is up to fate to decide who will get in or not.....GPA is not the major factor..what matters the most is whether you have a nice smile during your interviewand i mean a real SMILE! NO SMIRK! one shot one smile one opportunity will determine your acceptance.....the winner takes it all and bring home a big smile....

i get this a lot hhahahaa

Definitely not what I meant. 🙄
Did you get your package for the background check, btw? I haven't gotten mine yet, and didn't know if they were going to hold it until after I got my prereqs finished.
I thought we got one with more info....or at least that was what I assume. I saw someone on the fbook page wrote about it.
I signed something on the application for a background check. They already deposited my $500 so not sure if I'll receive a packet or not. Does anybody know what all is in the packet?
yeah you should get an invitation for background check in your email. They will screen you and send the results to the school. It might take awhile because they are busy so be patient.
you both are too cute...but definitely need to go get a hotel room...KIDDING!
Congrats on your good news, Nervoushabits!
I want to do nuclear pharmacy, but this school doesnt have it. I wish pharmacists could write prescriptions. I mean RN could so why can't pharmacists?

It was an email, and you filled out the info and payment online.
is it still ok to just wear pants and a chemise to the interview?..not wearing a jacket is still ok right?

How come there are more females than males in pharmacy school? it seems to me phamacy has become a female profession............
In retail pharmacy I have seen very few women pharmacists.
So I had my interview on 10/29 and I thought I'd share a funny incident that happened the night before. I arrived at my hotel around 10:30 p.m. on 10/28 and decided to go out for a jog to find some food and check out the location of the pharmacy school. After locating the school, I was psyched to spot a White Castle! I told the workers there that I was a big fan of the movie "Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle" and ever since I'd had a craving to try their food but we don't have any of their restaurants in Florida. They were humored by my enthusiasm and even agreed to sell me one of their hats (they are for employees only and not for sale to the public). I told them I'd keep it on the down low 😎 so I trust none of you will say anything! So, after my tasty meal I began running back to my hotel. During my run I noticed a police helicopter hovering overhead. Though it might have been traveling along the same route as me by coincidence, after they repeatedly shined their spotlight on me I started to get a bit nervous. I was dressed in black shorts, a black tshirt, and my dark White Castle hat so maybe they thought I was running from the scene of a crime??? After 10 -15 minutes I decided to turn around and face the spotlight and then I took off my hat and waved it at them as a friendly gesture. Either I looked innocent or I didn't fit the description of their possible suspect (?) but they finally turned and started going in a different direction. Whew! I finally arrived at my hotel and was relieved that nothing else happened that could've interferred with my interview the next day.
On the contrary, I see many female retail pharmacists.
It has become a more female dominant profession because you are able to work around your family. Think about it: If a woman has a kid, they can work part time, and still make enough money to support themselves. It's just a great career to have.
On the other hand, you do get those of us who really do want to be a pharmacist. Maybe it has something to do with the nurturing side most of us have. I know that when one of my friends or family members get sick, I'm like Miss Doctor. lol But who knows?

Forest,
If so, did you get the impression that they were trying to cut back on acceptances by being more stringent in their interview? Also, I was curious as to your stats due to the feedback about 15 minutes being spent on gpa/pcat score.
Forest,
I can only assume that you posted the latest interview feedback by the correlation in dates. If so, did you get the impression that they were trying to cut back on acceptances by being more stringent in their interview? That is the impression I am getting from the feedback. Also, I was curious as to your stats due to the feedback about 15 minutes being spent on gpa/pcat score. I apologize if its been asked before. Were the grade questions class specific or just general? I think that would be an opprotunity for me to shine personally as I've had a radical change in my grades since I figured out what I wanted to do, but still have a meager gpa (3.3) due to earlier classes when I was meandering in college.
Just received my email for the background check.

Make sure you let them know you already have a future study partner and that you have to get in. 😀![]()
Does this school requires Gen bio 1 and 2? I just saw intro to biology as a requirement.
Just received my email for the background check.
I don't know. Have you taken a lot of biology? If you have, I'm sure they would count that as your gen bio. Call and ask, if you aren't sure. I took gen bio, so no worries here.
no i am just wondering because I do have a BS in biology. I was curious because Sullivan is the only school that doesnt require Gen bio 1 and 2.
OH sorry. I didn't know you had a BS in biology. I'm applying with out one...and I don't know who does and doesn't. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be in the minority for our class because I don't have one. lol
didnt u say u will get one in spring?
Um, I don't think so.....I'm only a junior, but I'm double majoring. Earliest I could finish my spanish degree would be next year.
wow you are the lottery winner! you might be the youngest one in the class👍
