It is very heavy (6+ lbs), but I'm always sitting in a classroom anyways. Put in the optional battery and it will go for more than 6 hours with everything on. Highly recommended.
I use the tablet functions in classes which require diagrams, i.e. Biology. It was also handy in Organic. I used Microsoft Onenote, which is free, to search through hundreds of pages of handwritten notes for specific terms. And it actually worked!

Thanks!!!
kkelloww said:In powerpoint you just print to onenote and the slides go to onenote where you can annotate. You can switch between typed and handwritten notes and/or drawings at any time. You can also insert screen clippings, hyperlinks, etc. Here is a good resource if you are interested in tablets.
I would definitely go with a convertible for the versatility.
