I understand this is a very general question. But beyond working with anesthesia residents in a program what oppurtunites are avaliable for teaching in the field of anesthesia?

It always seems that most medical students that do not want to go into anesthesia have very little interest... a generalized statement and doesnt apply to all...

I feel as if we should be the masters of teaching physiology in an acute setting...

Finally what particular field (if there is one) is the leader in ACLS protocols and developing new protocols?

Pick up the ACLS handbook.

Look at who the editors are..

Read the references ..there are hundreds....look at the authors of the references....the names that come up over and over again....are the leaders.

And there are certain names from certain centers across the US and Europe that comes up over and over again.

The opportunity to teach in the field of anesthesiology can be as much or as little as you want it to be. Medical students are like sponges. They rarely turn down an opportunity to be taught something new.
