i believe it’s still on time to apply! I spoke with the admissions people and they said they are now starting to review applications and send out interviews starting late feb- june. I would say it’ll be late to apply close to the deadline. Since it’s rolling admissions i’d apply asap!
When is it considered on-time/late to apply to this program?

I would say apply because you never know! They do a holistic review so maybe your experiences could help a lot! I don’t know if you’ve taken your MCAT but from previous threads people who have a lower gpa but a somewhat high MCAT seem to get interviews. I know the program is very competitive with around 40 seats but i think it’s because they offer conditional acceptance. I would also look into the other programs offered at this school because they also have high linkages to other med schoolsHi! I really want to apply to this program but my gpa is around 2.8. I am a native of the area and have been spending my gap year trying to boost my application with clinical and volunteer experience and also retaking pre reqs. I got an A in all of the classes and really have been trying my best. Do you guys think I have a chance?
Does anyone know how many students they accept into their ACMS program each year?

From what i know, admissions committee love an upward trend so i think it’s worth a shot!! Also the program has MCAT prep as well and i heard that it’s good and that faculty really want students to succeed. I hope it goes well for you!Thank you!!! I haven’t taken the mcat yet because I was finishing pre reqs this semester and last semester, I also still have to do biochem. But I’m hoping they really look at my grades now because I have a 4.0 in the pre reqs. If I got accepted I wanted to just take the MCAT before the program started. Honestly, I had a lot going on and I went to school 1000 miles away from home, so that affected my grades but this program and the med school is right by my house and I think it’s a great fit for me.

They interview February through June. So it might take a while to hear back depending on when you submitted your app.

I assume it's in-person, but you can email to double-checkDoes anyone know whether the first year (post bacc year) is asynchronous or in person attendance is mandatory?

Thank you! I emailed this morning, so hopefully I get a response tomorrow.
Does anyone know if the post bacc linkage is just for Lewis Katz, or can it be for St. Luke’s as well?

Can any current or former alums give me insight into how helpful this program has been and how attainable the cutoffs for matriculation are(3.6 gpa and 509 mcat). I saw some discourse on the difficulty of DPMS and now curious if this program would be similar or setting students up for success!
the gpa cutoff is reasonable if you study appropriately for it. It's hard not to spend a lot of time studying for classes when you see how much material there is, but it is manageable if you are thoughtful with how much time you put into it.Can any current or former alums give me insight into how helpful this program has been and how attainable the cutoffs for matriculation are(3.6 gpa and 509 mcat). Can't speak on MCAT but my year 2 out of 12 people didn't make it because of mcat
attendance is mandatory per se but all the lectures are in person and there wasn't any recordings for most of the lectures.Does anyone know whether the first year (post bacc year) is asynchronous or in person attendance is mandatory?

thank you for your insights ! i was debating if i should take the mcat now or wait till im in the program, after talking to admissions they said they include mcat prep in the curriculum but i wasn’t sure how manageable studying for the mcat while studying for classes as wellthe gpa cutoff is reasonable if you study appropriately for it. I took mcat before because I wanted to avoid it if I could during the program. Once your in the program you can only take it once to meet the score requirement.thank you for your insights ! i was debating if i should take the mcat now or wait till im in the program, after talking to admissions they said they include mcat prep in the curriculum but i wasn’t sure how manageable studying for the mcat while studying for classes as well

So if you don't meet the MCAT score, what happens? does the whole guarantee into med school go away? or can you retake the mcat the next year for the next medical cohortI took mcat before because I wanted to avoid it if I could during the program. Yeah the guarantee is only if you meet the GPA and MCaT requirements. They will help you with reapplying in the upcoming regular med school app cycle if you don’t make it, that being said a majority of people do make it.So if you don't meet the MCAT score, what happens? does the whole guarantee into med school go away? or can you retake the mcat the next year for the next medical cohort

i also tried calling and no one answers! It’s been hard to get in touch with anyone there. But i haven’t heard anything either, hoping for some good news this marchhas anyone heard anything ? , I tried calling but they do not appear to be available. Most people from what I’ve seen in previous threads , get info about a month from their application getting verified
As long as you haven’t gotten a rejection yet you’re still in. I waited like 3 months before I got anything after my app was verified.i also tried calling and no one answers! It’s been hard to get in touch with anyone there. But i haven’t heard anything either, hoping for some good news this march

how were interviews like, from previous posts they’ve been kinda vague so i don’t really know how to prep for itAs long as you haven’t gotten a rejection yet you’re still in. I waited like 3 months before I got anything after my app was verified.

OOS II just now. Submitted app back in January
do they average all mcat attempts, if you took it more than once or do you need to have at least a 126 in each section on one sitting?
Their website says only the most recent MCAT score will be considered.
Here's my usual summary of my application:When was your application verified ?
3.58 cumulative gpa and around 3.45 science, 512 mcat but had to retake because 1 subsection score is 125 which is under the 126 subsection requirement. verified in February. Interview Invite in April. Acceptance in May. Retook MCAT over summer to meet requirement but that was after I got accepted. If you don't make the score before you Start the program you get 1 attempt at the MCAT which you usually take at the end of the program because they provide mcat prep throughout the year. I just didn't want to worry about that so I took it before starting.

Are there any applicants who had a high gpa and a low Mcat (not a good test taker and would use the Mcat course offered) accepted into the program? I have a 3.74 cgpa and a 3.65 sGPA.

i also have a high gpa and not so much high mcat and curious about this too! I see a lot of people who got in with good gpa and good mcat so im worried if admissions mainly considered applicants with high mcatAre there any applicants who had a high gpa and a low Mcat (not a good test taker and would use the Mcat course offered) accepted into the program? Just treat an interview at a program with a conditional medical school acceptance as you would for medical school and you should be good. There's no secret formula for being a normal, personable applicant besides just being genuine and answering stuff with common sense. How was your interview experience? Any tips?

As anyone tried calling the office and leaving a voice message and heard back? I called and haven’t heard anything and can’t get through to anyone!
What are you calling about? Is it something you can just find online or is it a “where’s my interview” call. Either way you’re probably better off emailing. As anyone tried calling the office and leaving a voice message and heard back? I called and haven’t heard anything and can’t get through to anyone!

I want to ask about additional letters of recommendation and how many they accept. I sent my letter packet from my college but in my gap year have been working in a hospital and was wondering if they will accept another letter. Don’t know if I should email about that, would be a much easier phone conversation. What are you calling about? Is it something you can just find online or is it a “where’s my interview” call. Hello, I hope everyone's application process is going well. I know that you dont need an MCAT score to apply to the program but would I have to have my MCAT score by June 1st to apply? I saw the supplemental deadline was June 15th, does that mean I can get my score by then and submit the app by the 1st?
Emailing admissions is probably your best bet considering you haven’t gotten through to anyone via calling.I want to ask about additional letters of recommendation and how many they accept.
