Initially when I sign on it just says Welcome to Temple Med Online... then if I click the "home" tab, it has the same stuff as my "accepted" tab. It's simply like an acceptance letter of sorts, the video, and he ability to pay the fee. I got the email and just paid the $100 at 7pm tonight. Maybe that has to go through first?

To the people who got off the waitlist, how much were you interacting with the admissions before you got the acceptance? I just don't know how much to bother them, or who to speak with specifically.

Yeah, I guess so. I called once right around May 20, and was told that they couldn't tell me anymore information than I could see online. Didn't hear from them again until Tuesday. Not really sure what to tell other waitlisters. I know that when I interviewed, I was told I was interviewing only for a waitlist spot, but was never put on the waitlist.

To be honest, this whole process baffles me. Schools where my numbers were way above their averages and I thought I had outstanding interviews, denied me flat out.

i know this is a sketchy way to view things, but I'm looking at the number of kids in the TUSM C/O 2012 facebook group to get an idea of how many spots remain. Of course, that method can show you a bare minimum of spots available. I know at least one temple M1 student who isn't even on facebook and another who is on facebook but not in the group .. right now it's at 121 members .. i'm not sure what the class size usually is either.

at any rate, if you're looking for a coarse way of ascertaining how many spots are left, that's one method.

yea like I said it's a very coarse measurement and can let you know only the minimum number of seats taken. Also, I think that what you're doing is smart: calling them and continuing to show interest. I read somewhere two things once: (1) Someone got a call from Temple saying that if they continued to show interest their chances would be good, even though presently they were on the CCL; (2) In general, letters of interest and intent go a long way because near the end of summer the med schools want to fill the remaining seats with individuals they know won't withdraw post-acceptance.

hey, does anyone know if it is possible to get an application looked out without an orgo lab grade? i'm not taking orgo lab til this fall and their website would imply that means they won't look at me til december.. is that rule like hard and fast? has anyone gotten an exception?

You'll definitely be fine. As long as they're assured that you'll take the course before you matriculate, it won't hurt you.

Last cycle I was in the same situation. I applied without having taken Organic 2 Lab. I simply told them I was taking it in the Spring, and I got an interview on Oct. 1.

just got back from temple interview-- they specifically said they have been backed up more than normal but are trying to get a handle on it. Also, they have accepted about 1/2 of their class... fridays are commitee meeting days, so u can expect to hear back early in the week if ever. and also, they are taking a two week recess here at the end of jan. so be ready to wait some more on decisions.
