I am very sorry if this information is already out there but the search function doesn't seem to be working on this computer.

on the coursework for TMDSAS they ask you to break classes down as bio lecture/chem lecture/calculus and stat/.../other sciences.
I called TMDSAS and asked them what some of my courses should be classified as (eg. Linear Algebra, PChem, etc)
They told me to list these classes as "other science" (even some hardcore biology (cell neurosci) classes)

So will our BCMP gpa include classes listed as "other science"?

Thanks!

science GPA includes those other science courses, they just want to make sure you have your pre-reqs done.

I hate to drudge up an old thread like this but my question is similar. First of all though, what is the difference b/w the TMDSAS BCMP GPA and Science GPA? what matters more? And for TMDSAS schools, what classes are included in each of those GPAs?

I'm asking b/c aside from my Med School prereqs, I have taken 1 or 2 biology classes for non-science majors to boost up my cumulative and I'm wondering where those would fall (in science GPA or only in cumulative)? Likewise, I've taken a Pre-Calculus class, and I do not know where that would fall (as it's a math class but it doesn't satisfy the actual math course requirement). Thanks for the help y'all.

BCPM = what courses make up the "science" GPA.

It's the same as an "AMCAS" BCPM with the SOLE exception that engineering courses are counted in TMDSAS "science" GPA.

Bio is still bio, regardless of whether it was for non-science majors or not.

Ohh, that's a relief. Thanks man 😀 but I guess that means that low grade in my Pre-Calc class is going to stick 🙁
