Gr8 news! There had been rumors last year on sdn that they don't interview reapplicants, so I'm glad those are not true. I liked the school when I interviewed last year, so I hope I get some love this year.dancer75088 said:Chaeymaey, I am a reapplicant and I have an interview at UT-H August 2nd...I am currently on their waitlist for this fall...I doubt I will get in this year, but heres hoping! Good luck!
Anastasis said:I got a nice letter from the UTMB MD/PhD program today with lots of useful information and congratulating me on my MCAT score. Only problem is that I didn't apply MD/PhD
😕 Anyone else get that letter?

BlackBantie said:Does anyone find themselves constantly checking their email accounts multiple times a day to see if they received an interview email? I feel like a loser doing this especially when I see that this interview thread is bumped. False hope!!
chaeymaey said:When you talked to Dr. Gunn, did he mention anything about interviewing reapplicants?

AggieJohn said:Just heard from UTSA. Got an interview on the 19th of August, which of course conflicts with another interview of mine. I'm thankful I've got interviews, but it is kind of depressing to watch them all get scheduled on the same day.

Are you sure it was the 19th? I called down at the office to try to get my date changed, and they told me interviews were every Monday. I'm wanting to go on the 21st, not the 14th, but they said they already sent letters out to the 21st people, so they have to see who confirms and whatnot. I hope this is the case....UTSW got to you first, haha 🙂
runningmom said:Except I gotta call and move it.... so much for being smart and thinking having the baby in Aug would ensure I wouldn't have to worry about going into labor during an interview..... 🙂
jota_jota said:Wow! Congrats all! No love from UTSA for me 🙁
It seems like all the same people seem to get interviews first. Do you guys happen to have last names early in the alphabet or something?
cannister said:For people with Texas A&M interviews, when are your interviews and are you guys out of state or in state?
Mine is Aug 10 and I am out of state.
Any recommendations for travel, such as using which airport (Houston, Dallas) and how to go from there to College Station?
WannaDoc said:Definately fly into Houston. You can drive to College Station in an hour, maybe an hour and a half.
My sister is an undergrad there. I'm not exactly sure of the fastest route off hand, but I wouldn't use backroads if you're not used to it. I know one of the highways/interstates takes you there almost directly.
BlackBantie said:This is random but I finally got some love from Galveston. It's on Aug 25 but I have my Dallas one on the 26th so I don't know how I'm going to manage...traffic on a Fri night, yuck.

... and I HEARD FROM THEM TOO, for the 14th, and UTMB five minutes later for the 18th. Hrm, I think that's just widely-enough spaced that I'll end up flying to TX twice in the same week! Arg.

290 to Hwy 6 - Hwy 6 to College Station.WannaDoc said:Definately fly into Houston. You can drive to College Station in an hour, maybe an hour and a half.

CONGRATS on the invites... two in one day - that's like Christmas and your B'day rolled into one! (or whichever politically correct holiday with presents you want to insert).

Only American Airline and Continental fly into College Station. (that's the only advice I have - I'm from TX 😀 )cannister said:Anyone out of state and will be traveling to Houston and then College Station for Texas A&M interview? What airline did you use and how are you planning to travel?
Just want some advice for a person who will be traveling from the northeast to Texas Aug 10.
THANKS! 👍

Intercontinental is on the north side of Houston - from there to CS is about an hour to 1 1/2. Hobby can be cheaper but you're talking at least 2 hours to CS (but I'm guessing, never driven straight from Hobby to CS)cannister said:Hey Anastasis, thanks for your advice. Greatly appreciate it.
Do you know which airport in Houston I should use that would be closest to College Station because since the cost of flying to College Station is over $1000 per person, I plan to fly to Houston and then probably use car service.
I appreciate your advice. 🙂

UTMB and UTH gave me the same date and i had to work with them to get the dates moved, Also i was processed 6/28/2006 with all my letters and scores in too.
Also does anyone know how Baylor does interviews I know it says September through Februrary on their website but i was just wondering if anyone has heard anything or knows from past experiences
