I'm 27 and was accepted at UT-H, UTMB, and A&M today.
 
In case anybody has corrections, here's the interesting part of the data I was working with (which is unquestionably incomplete). I was too lazy to type in everybody else.

it seems like there is absolutely no commonality... no trends at all lol maybe they are right and it doesn't really mean anything.

Yeah, I suppose there isn't really a large enough sample size to draw any conclusions. I guess I was hoping for a bunch of people to jump out of the woodwork and say, "I'm a nontrad and I didn't get accepted either" (at least I got one, but I already knew about you, Rambler -- I just forgot -- sorry!) to validate my conspiracy theory. I don't think any of us have great stats, but I didn't think mine were that bad (3.5/36). I guess I'll chalk things up to below-average GPA, as well, if I end up not getting in anywhere.
 
I think we need to graph the data and do a standard deviation...😀

The ironic thing is that non-trads of anyone need to *typically* know where they are going sooner because we have kids to move, houses to sell/buy, schools to check out, etc. 🙂 But that's OK - we're probably also a little more adept at going with the flow. 😛

Non-Trad here. I'm 27. Graduated EE 2002, worked for over a year. Went back for post-bacc pre-med in 2004, applied last year didn't get in. Got TCOM so far this year. (stats 3.01/35) There is still plenty of hope for you Jota. Your stats look better than mine so hang in there!

Tell me about it. I'm looking to subspecialize, so I let myelf be convinced that the DO route would close doors that I need to leave open. I'm starting to wonder whether maybe I was an idiot.
Keep your head up, we've still got a chance. I was hoping I wouldn't be in suspense until the match, but three more months of suspense wouldn't be so bad... in the long run... right? Maybe?

Pemberley and Jota, I am so rooting for y'all. I know that you both will get in somewhere. Don't forget that if you do not receive an acceptance right now, that does not mean you are rejected. You may just have to wait for the match, which really sucks, I know. Keep your heads up!

My school's advisor accidentally let it slip out that I was accepted to UTSA (when I went to tell her about my UTMB acceptance) and I told her that I didn't know about that. And she kinda did a "whoops.. well UTSA let TMDSAS know last Thursday and I could check it through the advisors page..."

Does not have to mean thats why the LMFU is 11/10 but it is very coincidental if not...
 
What are the latest interviews that schools have accepted so far...October?

UTSA and UTH are my top 2 out of the ones I interviewed at...

My LMFU is dated 9/29/2006 but I was offered a UT interview just a couple weeks ago (interview is this Fri). It can't mean that much, right? I have the same sick-to-my-stomach feeling I had around last June. And I was doing so much better, actually thinking about things besides med school, until this whole Nov.15th debacle.

Is LMFU indicative of getting interviews or getting acceptances or both?

With your awesome stats, you are probably heading to UTSW. I know you will be going to Med School. This process is brutal.....HANG IN THERE!!!

I assumed it was any time your file was updated, which could be transcripts, letters of rec, interview invites, or potentially acceptances. I really have no idea.

I guess since you are in Houston/San Antonio, it might have been regular mail.
 
Woohoo! I got an acceptance to A&M today! LMFU=111006; interviewed October 26, 2006.
 
I think the last time mine was updated was when I got a UTSA invite (102006). No change today.

guys, I'm really happy for you. If you didn't get an acceptance yet, remember this is only the first day and you have many more months to get acceptances (I know, the wait sucks). congrats on the good news! be patient with UTSW though...

no offense but i really think UTSW should have sent out emails today. (yeah yeah yeah it hasn't been 24 hrs yet, i know)

weren't they the ones who wanted rolling admissions in the first place?? early bird gets the wor--err premed 😉
 
I have heard from a very reliable source that UTSW will be sending out acceptance letters tomorrow...meaning they will not arrive until Friday or Saturday most likely...maybe even Monday if your mail sucks like mine.

haha good point. Last cycle they emailed acceptances an hour before the match. Maybe things are different now that Dr. Wright is no longer at UTSW?
 
Do we have any idea how many acceptances each school sent out today? Although I'm sure the answer would only feed my anxiety! 🙁

Who knows how it all works. I'm about as non-traditional as one gets, and received acceptances with an MCAT score 6 points lower than your score. I really believe that you and pemberly will be receiving good news soon. But I understand that having to wait further is no picnic. Your lucky in that you can look at that little baby and know there are things more important. Hang in there and good luck.......I'm rooting for you
 
Anyone else notice from the "data" that everyone's file that was updated 11/10 had an interview or acceptance at UTSA.... that's the only complete commonality I see. I hope its a good sign!
