edit: after checking mdapps it seems you didn't apply oos, so i'd say go there, what could it hurt?

I would go to every interview until I get a letter of acceptance... unless money is really REALLY tight. Even then I would still try to go to the interview somehow.
I turned down A&M several weeks before getting my acceptances... I felt really weird about doing it too, but work constraints and money were issues, and I had to balance it with whether I'd be happy there.
I applied to 29 schools, so withdrawing from one wasn't too painful for me. For you having only applied to like 7 schools, that's like 1/7 of your school pool, so I'd consider that too.
I turned down interviews at NYU, NYMC, and Tufts. You'll be okay.
I too have a 12/01/06 change. I did not turn in any decline letters. I am only waiting on UTMB for decision as of now.

it's usually more like sleet, but yes, once every 5 yrs or so it snows south of lubbock
got 12/01/06 update too. Since I applied only UTSW, hopefully that is it!

I did interview with UTSW on 10/21.
I'm still waiting on UTH though (I interviewed 11/10 there).
I did not interview at UTH...so hopefully there is some relationship to UTSW acceptances...

im 12/1 and i didnt interview there yet. im hoping its utmb
My LMFU updated to 12/1. I think this is in response to my withdrawl from schools. I interviewed at UTSW on 8/26 and am still waiting to hear from them. It would be great if the LMFU update meant UTSW, but I don't think there is any validity to that reasoning.

I just got an invite from UTH for Dec. 15!!!
My LMFU changed to 12/1 and I interviewed at SW in november. I've been reading through previous posts and the LMFU hope/scare has gotten to me.

I wish my husband would hurry up and research jobs in Dallas so I know whether I have to go on more interviews or not... 🙄 Well, that was presumptuous of me wasn't it, I have no real idea that I'll get one.

I sent my decline letters to TCOM and TT yesterday. Yes, I know, I waited until the deadline...that's because I couldn't bring myself to do it. Because of the SELFISHNESS.
But I did it. It hurt, but it's done. (Not to mention that I seriously thought about sticking my hand in the mailbox and retrieving them, but I couldn't without committing a federal offense).
So, I hope some of those who are still waiting get good news before Christmas!! 😍 😍 That would make me feel better.

Hi, amazing texan-related people, everyone that is everyone in the texas world posts on here, but i think we should start a new thread or section of this thread...

Well, I like it more than I expected to like it... that being said...
At least traffic won't be as bad on a Saturday.

I psyched myself up this morning to go into this whole thing with an open mind but within the first 15 minutes of getting there I heard this med student just start ripping on San Antonio. (How they're all *****s and how could anyone hope to get a good medical education there). Well that turned me off (a ton) but I figured I would still give the school the shot even if there was one complete tool who attended there. I loved both my interviewers (they were awesome 😍 ) and I met some really really cool med students at lunch. (though one straight up told me that if I like medical humanities, Southwestern is NOT the place for me) Plus there was one super hot 4-year giving tours
The facilites are really amazing (I knew that going in) but I still feel like I didn't click with the med students. I'm going to sleep on it and see how I feel. All in all, I'm glad I went though. I think I would have regretted not going.

At your interview did they mention any time frame about when pre-match admissions would be given out again. Or did they discuss how they were going to try and fill the class before and after the match? Sorry to bother.

Besides UTSW, has anyone heard from schools after sending in their acceptance?
I got something from TX A&M about a pow wow in Temple, TX the middle of the month (on a Wednesday). Seems more interesting than a plain 2nd look.
No bother! But I'm sorry I don't have an answer for you 🙁 I don't remember them mentioning anything specific about time frames except I do remember one mention of another round of pre-match acceptances.
Now that the deadline has passed for a lot of the responses, I'm hoping that there will be another round of invites from the schools that are still interviewing this month like Tech. Geez, I can't believe the cycle is nearly over in TX, and I just had the one interview. I'm very grateful for it, but still, I don't understand why I didn't get more.
Here's hoping. Like you I'm also VERY grateful for what I've gotten so far, but it seems odd that I haven't heard from any of the TX schools. Anyone know when SA is sending out their last round of invites? I called Friday morning and was told my application was "still under consideration for an interview," but with the last interview date being December 18, that doesn't give me much confidence...
I'm also anxiously waiting for more interviews. I live here in San Antonio and it seems like the medical school here hasn't interviewed many people that attended university here. I have friends that scored 30+, 3.9+ GPA, have lots of work & medical experiences, interviewed at most of the other TX schools but no interview here in San Antonio, which makes very little sense to me. I'm also hoping to get an interview at San Antonio...I'd say if we do not hear back by the end of this week then it's over for San Antonio.
I've heard they are snail mail.
