Yah, I ranked them 7/7 and I was able to get an ID....

I think the TCOM EUID thinking is bogus. It seems that some level of applicants or interviewees can get an EUID and System ID. As much as I would like to believe it correlates to acceptance or matching, we will just have to wait till Monday night. 👎

Also, I wanted to try to log onto this big sib thing, but I don't know how to locate the link. I thought it would be on the page after I logged in, but alas it is not, and I am too tired to battle through the site.

If anyone has easy directions or the link to that sib thing, please let me know.

Hey crazy eyes...ease up now. Is such arrogance really necessary? when did this thread turn into a Baylor vs. the rest of tx schools discussion? 🙄 While Baylor is a great school and has awesome opportunities, the student, not the school, lands a person a residency. Im sure those students who matched to these specialities you mentioned would have done equally as well at many of the TX schools given the same level of motivation and committment. Also, I really don't see what the point is in your posts besides emphasing the "rank" of Baylor and wanting us to "challenge" you, which is not the goal of this thread. A match list would have little weight in swaying me to choose School A over School B, and I get that feeling from many of the posters who regularly post in this thread. Thanks for the "info" about your match list, but you've already posted it on the thread you created, and I'm sure if any of us have questions we'll visit it.

Seriously.....Baylor maintains its prestige in part because of its spectacular ability to place students in excellent residency programs. This is not news to anyone applying to medical school in the state. However, Baylor also has extremely motivated and accomplished students. Therefore, it is fine to have pride in your school and the accomplishments of the students, but what is the point of bragging? You are bragging about that which is already obvious. The information is useful, but the tone is not. Additionally, it is also well established that UT Southwestern is also an excellent school with some of the most accomplished students in Texas and also matches very very well. In terms of matching (ie number of students to prestigious residencies) the other Texas schools don't do quite as well, but perhaps that is due to the type of students that attend those programs (ie more interested in primary care). Bottom line is that the Baylor name will help when applying to residencies, but if a student is HIGHLY motivated, they can probably match to whatever specialty they desire.

OK....I FINALLY got to the big sib page for utsw (thanks to A Pink) and now I am about 99% certain that if you can log onto that page or, if when you log on you get a message other than "you are not authorized to use this" then congrats are in order because you have been accepted at UTSW. The page specifically says that it is for MS0 and MS1. You are now MS0 and therefore the page is for you. If you have any message other than not "authorized" than at the very worst you are on their alternate list, but I HIGHLY doubt this. I went through a complex alogrithm to decide that I am 99% sure (pretty good p value) that another message is an acceptance. Damn, I need to get some rest.

On another note, all you punks have now caused me to (almost) regret ranking UTSW 2. Alas, it appears that this seems to be a common phenomenon (second guessing rankings prematch). Well, what do we have now about 71 hours and change?

UTMB has that e-connect thing. I was able to log into it a long long time ago, then I couldn't remember the default password thing, and haven't logged in for 5 months. It had something about application status, but I don't know if they nixed it this year or what. Anybody know anything about e-connect?

What is the usual format for the utsw login you guys are using? I threw away my letter. This is not the one you used to do the secondary, correct? It forced you to change your password right?

Use the name and password on the interview letter they sent. The same one you used to confrim the interview date / check status. If you don't have it they could give it to you again...but not mch point now as soonest you could get it is Monday, and that is Match day! Good Luck!

I think they realized ppl were logging on and changed the page to say that. Some people have a completly different message. If you scroll back a couple of pages, some people mention it..

I think we are assuming that "you are not authorized" may still = good login; while the "invalid user name or pw" does not. We'd have to get someone who couldn't get in before the changes to log in now, to tell for sure if there is still a difference.

I could never login: it has always said "you are not authorized..." It hasn't changed to say invalid logon. Hope this helps the theory!

I was wondering does anyone know the website where UTMB posts it's list for people who matched in 2004. i went to UTMB's website to try to find it, but no luck anyone have any ideas where it could be.

Is anyone else as terrified as i am about the match. And the sad thing about the way i feel about the match is, we all will be put in this postion to feel this way over and over again. When we get our board scores (3 different time), then residency and god know's what else. and eventhough we should learn from this experience and relax about the whole thing and accept that it will hopefully turnout okay, all us will feel the same way as we are feeling now when all the other scores will come. it's jut sad.
