We are insane for being so keyed up over the limited time remaining to find our fate for the next four years. I just can't avoid the anticipation and desire for relief.

This forum is certainly an enabler. I would get a lot more done if I had never heard of SDN. Of course, I would be much less informed too.

👍 Yeah, probably right. Hopefully a match there or somewhere higher will be flashing on our computer screens tomorrow night. I guess it would have to be a mixture of those waitlisted and those who matched who didnt receive a letter. Those are the only people left! I just hope that being in Houston, it would have reached me by this point if I was supposed to get one.

The waiting and guessing game will end soon.

Last night I was reading some posts from this time last year in the Texas threads. We're a much more speculative and involved group.

I hope this doesn't mean we've got a gunner class coming up. You know they say they tend to alternate years (gunnerish vs. non) at most schools.

It seems that there was little waitlist movement last year, at least with SDNers.

Yep, totally agree!! These forums freak me out and raise my bp but are therapuetic at the same time in a crazy weird messed up sort of way. It's nice to talk about the process to people who understand it.

I think you pinned it down exactly: "desire for relief" Couldn't have said it better! Good luck to you

On another note, has anyone filled out FAFSA yet? I have not. Decided to wait until I completed my taxes. I figured that it really wouldn't matter since our low in-state tuition would not likely be reduced with institution financial aid, grants, or whatnot.

I can't even bear to think about attending out-of-state and paying $23K more per year for the same end result 👎

That's a perfect lead in to my post (thanks). I completed my taxes online last night and plan to do most of the fafsa today, but i will wait until tuesday to submit in order to only list the TMDSAS school I am accepted to. For those of you that know more about the FAFSA, is it true that you can only list 6 schools on the form?
Anyway, again, best of luck on monday night....how sure are we it will open at midnight??

Come tomorrow night at midnight, how exactly do you check where you matched? Obviously on TMDSAS website, but where? On the applicant profile page (the same page that has LMFU, Validation, etc)?

Hey guys! I return to Nac tonight and I'm praying that there is no TAMU rejection in my mailbox. :crosses fingers:

The fondue was great last night!!! Evo: The only thing we dipped in cheese was the appetizer. The main course was NY strip, terriyaki strips, rosemary chicken, shrimp and lots more and we dipped in in this Coq au Vin stuff (broth, red wine, mushrooms, and stuff like that). Then dessert was fruits and cheesecake in chocolate and caramel fondue. You should really try it!! YUMM!!

Well, I'll let y'all know tonight if I heard anything from TAMU. Do you guys think we will get rejection letters from all the schools we interviewed at that didn't like us even if it was lower on our match list? Or do we automatically get rejections from everywherre we don't match to? I don't like rejections that much so I'm hoping not! 🙂

Go to the applicant preference page, where you ranked the schools. It has a slot where "School matched" is shown (currently blank).

On the TMDSAS website,go to the page where you listed your rankings. Underneath the line that says "Last Updated", there is a line that says "SCHOOL MATCHED"

Good luck!
 
I really wish that there would be a glitch in the TMDSAS website, and when I check tomorrow morning, it will say:

School Matched: UTMB, UTHSCSA, or A&M!
(UTSW--rejected, UTH, TTU, and TCOM ranked 5-7)
 
Hey everyone! Got home late last night and read that some ppl were getting rejection letters from TAMU and UTMB. I put my coat back on and walked to my mailbox and did not find any rejection letters! I interviewed at those schools, so hopefully this is good news.

I had a dream last night that the match was posted 4 hours early and that I matched to TAMU (my 3rd choice)! Weird, huh? :laugh: :barf:

Yes, you can only list 6 schools on the form. They do have a procedure for adding more in the faqs, and in a fasfa post here on SDN. For the TX schools I checked, there either isn't a priority date, or it is in March, so I decided to wait as well.

I was thinking about this the other day. I finally decided we may be a bit more OCD than the other groups - but I think we are a lot more cooperative and group oriented (good things). I know a lot of the posts here are neurotic, but many share information. I think it will be a good group!

You know, I don't think we are OCD. I think we are more vocal about our feelings. I definitely agree about the group-oriented and cooperative qualities. If anything, the only feeling I get from everyone on this thread sharing their pre-Match paranoia and neuroticism is that we are going to be a very close-knit class. 🙂

I hope that I get to be classmates with some of you (I also hope that I get in :scared: ). I think you guys are awesome! 😍

The downside is the profs could really torture us easilly: "The grades for the anat final are in and only 20 of you passed. I'm sorry but the scores won't be posted for two weeks. Then they tell us, interestingly all but 2 of the passing scores belonged to people who have odd student IDs, and sat next to people w/ ID's divisible by 3. I heard you like riddles, have fun & tell your friends not to screw with the match results next year!!!"

Diverging, what is with those post counters? Mine has been on 500+ forever. I think my counter is in neutral (or park). Is the next increment 1,000 or what?

Yah, I think the next one is 1000, and the next is either 3000 or 5000....uh, but let's hope that none of us finds out what is past 1000. I'd have to claim that many of us do not have lives!
