Okay this is kind of off topic but does anyone know how TT's waiting list works. Is it ranked ... how are people chosen?

That's the story of my friends and family this whole process. "You're so smart, talented, blah blah...You'll get in, don't worry. If not this year, next year then. By the way, are you going to get a real job if you don't get in??" I appreciate the praise but I think it's hard to for others to understand the odds of this game and how many bright super caring people who want this as bad as all of us do. Life will go on. We're all super people who will make a difference somewhere 😍 lots of luck

There has to be some order in how they decide to validate people. Perhaps alphabetically? Or maybe by when you got you initial application in. I have not been validated yet, and they have received all of my transcripts (as of 1-10-05). My last name begins with a "P," so maybe they are still in the "L"s or something.

Soon enough we will all wonder why we were so obsessive when we find out we will be doctors on Jan. 31st + 1 min.

On the match website it says that if you are an out-of-stater and only apply to one Texas school, they can tell you before the match.

I looked for this and I can't find it. Would you post a link? I am an out-of-stater who is interested in this.

Hey guys, I was just looking at my GPA in my applicant profile and it changed! I was under the impression that your GPA is locked once you apply. Maybe this just means they finally processed my summer grades and it is too late to have any effect on my application 🙁

They update the grades, but i don't think it has a bearing on admissions. They updated my GPA after Fall grades, but I don't think schools get that.

A Code Of Ethical Behavior For Patients

7. Pay your medical bills promptly and willingly. You should consider it a privilege to contribute, however modestly, to the well-being of physicians and other humanitarians.

8. Do not suffer from ailments that you cannot afford. It is sheer arrogance to contract illnesses that are beyond your means.

9. Never reveal any of the shortcomings that have come to light in the course of treatment by your doctor. The patient-doctor relationship is a privileged one, and you have a sacred duty to protect him from exposure.

10. Never die while in your doctor's presence or under his direct care. This will only cause him needless inconvenience and embarrassment.

How many of you also applied out of the Texas match and have received at least one acceptance already?

Personally, I'm glad that I did because it takes a lot of pressure off. At least I know that I have a spot SOMEWHERE, even if I get screwed in the Texas Match. 😀

My undergrad school's semesters end unusually early, so I was able to send in my fall transripts very early, and probably avoided the the later influx. I was validated on 121804, and I believe that this is simply because I was able to get my transcript first in line at the office. They are probably flooded with transcripts, phonecalls, threats, etc. now, so I bet things are just taking awhile to get processed.

I spent a few years growing up in Idaho, and it was just too real. Usually, I empathize with the underdog, but in this instance, I could really feel for his abusers. Is this wrong? "It's a liger...it's pretty much my favorite animal". I keep having flashbacks!
