I heard if you are a texas resident you have a mouch better chance to being accepted since there are three texas schools and they mostly accept texas residents, is this true??? how is the tuition at these schools for in state??? thanx for the info

Tuition is one of the best in the nation. However, they did raise tuition cost this year (at least at UTHSCSA, not sure about other schools) but it is still good.

You essentially HAVE to be a Texas resident to have a shot at attaining entrance into Texas medical and dental schools . If you are a non-resident, you have a chance, but you have to be competitive because they only accept a handful of out of staters each year.

I wondered if you were born oustide the US , but have lived and gained state residence, does that work against you if your not an American citizen.

HD,

I havent been here for a while. Whats your status with MARQ? Any updates?

Seems to me that either Marquette has had zero waitlist movement or Admission people are lying when they say that there has been zero movement on the waitlist. I'm not sure.

Still waiting for the train, I feel like NEo in Matrix 3 when he got stuck at the train station. Wheres my trinity????

Texas schools are required by law to take 90% of its class from Texas residents. Baylor only takes 9 out of state applicants at most. Some of the schools have not taken any. I think last year San Antonio did not accept any out of state apps and still got over 700...
