John Edwards just stated in his concession speech that he would continue fighting for the people...specifically he stated, he would keep fighting for the poor woman sitting in the emergency room who cannot afford health care treatment.

Hmmmm...so all along Edwards has been "fighting" to make health care in the ED more affordable.

One negative aspect of the election outcome is that Edwards will return to his med-mal wealth-generating business.

I vote we either close or move this thread. Not really emergency medicine, though it does try to drag EM into the discussion.

Plus yesterday his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer. The docs treating her at MGH must be nervous.

They should refuse to treat her unless she drives across state lines (or at least 3 hours distance). That way he and his family can experience what he and his ilk have inflicted on many areas of the country.
