So I know most schools don't do scholarships but for those that do, will they let people know on Dec 2? I know usc does not do this since they don't use it for recruiting, but not sure about other schools...

like Glimmer said, it depends on the school. Some of the students at Columbia told me that Columbia won't let them know how much of a scholarship they get, if they get one, until they have sent in their deposits. Kind of a weird way to do things if you ask me, but I guess it works for them

For three years I've had these three patients that kept asking me over and over , so did you get accepted? At some point I told them I am not going to apply anymore because was annoying to tell them over and over, no I got rejected from NYU!! Its funny that these three patients are on my schedule to have their teeth clean on December 2!! Would really love to finally be able to tell them "YES I got accepted".....Cannot wait, crossing fingers

The AADSAS page says they're closed from Nov 27th-Dec 2nd 🙁 Does this mean the portal won't upload on the 1st if they're closed! I noticed in last year's thread a lot of their portals updated on Dec 1st with an acceptance/rejection.

Nice catch! The portals SHOULD update on Dec. 2!!! Would they torture us pre-dents like that? Haha. But that notice might throw off the midnight changes...

A week and a day left! I'm so excited for you guys!
When you get multiple acceptances, make sure you sit down for a day or two, figure out what you want in life, how much your lifestyle is going to cost, and then pull out your calculator and figure out how much you're gonna have to pay for dental school before you get to live said lifestyle. Start calculating now!

P.S. last year, our Dec 1st was on a weekend like you guys so we wouldn't have found out the results till Dec 2nd/3rd. But there was a glitch and the AADSAS mobile app gave results before the website did. They fixed it after a few hours but maybe it will work again! I was half awake on my bed on Dec 1st when I randomnly checked my AADSAS app, totally not expecting results, when BAM! "Offer Made, Accepted".

I second this. If you look at prior posts, you will see that some people got their portal changed or got emails at like 5AM in the morning. Schools have it ready on Nov29th.

My daily routine has remained largely unchanged, except that I now check the AADSAS portal with my morning web rounds, and have been frequenting the post office to pick up my snail mail daily. At this point I'd take a rejection from some of the 13 or 14 schools I haven't heard a peep from, just to know where I stand.

I doubt it; AADSAS site does say it will be down until Dec. 2 when they 'resume normal work hours at 9am'...so I'm guessing it'll likely be from that morning onwards.

Well, it is a website so it can totally update itself at midnight without anyone having to be in the office, HOWEVER I've noticed that AADSAS status updates (e.g Under Review -> Invited for Interview) don't occur at midnight but early in the morning.
