Well that depends on what time it would come out, and since we aren't sure it is coming out on Wednesday that would just be speculation anyhow.....

Just want to wish you all the best of luck.

Try not to use up all your neuroticism quota at once. You will have plenty more chances when writing your secondaries, waiting for interviews, figuring out how to get to the school and the hotel, finding your student hosts, freaking out over your credit card bills, waiting to hear back from the schools, writing countless thank-you notes, writing letters of interet, writing a letter of intent, making crazy phone call to the admissions office 5x a week...and the list goes on.

That said, feel free to scream in ecstasy when you see your score. I was on the confocal microscope when i saw mine and remember screaming so loudly that the microscope moved from the acoustic vibration 🙂

I submitted my AMCAS and AACOMAS apps on 03 June. AMCAS is processed and waiting for the dreaded scores. AACOMAS...I'm hoping that its been looked at and ready to go minus the MCAT scores. AMCAS annoys me with how they calculate GPA. Oh well, I'll just have to hope more weight is placed on my graduate program GPA. Anyone else hoping for the same (plus really wicked sweet MCAT scores)? 😎

You're not alone on that one...I still have to finalize my personal statement and put together my list of activities. Sent a transcript the other day, so a bit more of work to go. You might even be farther than me, where are you at?

I got friggin lazy this summer after pulling an absolutely splendid semester 😀

Everything is good to go except for personal statement, mcat score release, 2 missing letter of recommendations and an almost complete autobiography. I keep changing my personal statement over and over and over. It feels like I'm never going to finish it. And finalizing my list of extracirriculars only discourage me more and more.

Remember that your letter of recommendations aren't needed until secondaries. So don't be too stressed if you don't have it for amcas.

However, do get the LOR's soon so that it won't give you a headache when secondaries start.

I still have lots to do too. Write my PS, send in transcripts, wait for scores, and write my lists of activities and volunteer stuff. I feel really behind already! Hopefully I won't be taking the MCAT again in August...I guess I'll find out in a couple days 🙁

What really sucks about the application cycle is if you take it in April and don't do well, you have to wait a year before reapplying. If you take it in August and don't do well, you have to wait approximately 9 months before retaking it. It would be much better if they offered it 3x a year-December, April, August.

I don't know exactly how things will transpire but, it will be fun nonetheless. I've been thankful for my internship at UNC Chapel Hill Hospital for keeing me busy the past few weeks so my mind hasn't dwelled upon the evil AAMC and its ploy to drive us insane while waiting for our scores. Course, some of my patients are driving me insane...

I fell ya man. Of course, I work with piss-poor anal retentive post-docs who love pushing around lab techs because its the only thing in their lives they actually have some semblance of control over. So it makes it harder to care about the people I work with. Nonetheless, I feel tomorrow night (or Thursday afternoon), we will all share in each other's successes and sadness. A lot of us have been posting regularly since April 16 and it is like a family of MCAT'ers on here. A lot of us will eventually make our way to the pre-allo board after the rush of the test is gone, where we'll just be diluted away in the sea of applicants. But, I think, whatever happens here tomorrow night will prolly be as close to a communal experience as you can have with complete strangers in the ether of cyberspace.

Well, I will be on SDN with some rentals, probably a bunch of Farelly Brothers movies, Nutella and some phone calls to friends and family back home.

Fozzie: remember to shave the monkeys BEFORE duct-taping them. Trust me, I work with hamsters and pulling glue of their nappy body hair is not a pleasant experience. This way, a good time can be had by all and we can leave PETA out of it.

Hey everybody! I've been on vacation for the past week and it's been the best way to pass the time without thinking too much about the MCAT. My husband and I visited my family, and we went hiking and watched movies and stuff like that, and then it was the Jewish holiday of Shavuot, which was nice. Anyway, I'm with all of y'all waiting for these darn scores to come out. The first thing my aunt said when she saw me back at home was, "So, looking forward to Thursday?" lol...her son, my cousin, also took the MCAT this April, so apparently he's been just as nervous as I am.

Okay everybody, so I'll be around tomorrow night with ya! Or Thursday if the scores don't get released by some reasonable time tomorrow night. I can't wait to get rid of that yucky feeling in the pit of my stomach every time I think about it. I already warned my husband to be ready for a very upset wife on Thursday if things don't go so well!

Sometimes, I wish I could get my score and hope I push 30+ so I can prove the anal-post docs in my lab a thing or to about undergrads. Sometimes, I wish I never get the score and never graduate from the MCAT forum. I feel part of a family.
