I'm liking the ice cream and vodka idea. Thanks for the suggestion! Someone's already doing jello shots so that's out.
And you're right the alcohol would evaporate if baked but I was wondering if I could keep at least keep the flavor of whatever it is (such as rum) in the baked dessert. I don't know it'll probably be too complicated.
You can get heavy whipping cream, add a tasty liquor of choice, and whip until you get whipped cream. Serve with anything you like.
Or you could make a rum cake (lots of recipes on the interwebz), which is generally epic and delicious. If you drizzle on rum after cake is done baking (dooooo this - might make a special glaze or something), it will definitely still taste rum-y.
Don't be intimidated by a recipe that does unfamiliar things! Cooking is a lot like lab work/following directions competently!
EDIT: So, I re-read one of your former posts and saw that you clearly say you don't know how to cook. So...lemme think...If you want to be low maintenance and do cupcakes from a box...I'd suggest a rum glaze (loads of recipes online, try to find one with a review) over a yellow or white cupcake. You could try mixing the glaze with something like cream cheese (would that taste gross?) to make it thicker/more frosting-like.
If you're willing to be a bit more adventurous, this rum cake (
http://allrecipes.com/recipe/golden-rum-cake/) is made from a box mix + pudding mix + other random, easy ingredients.
If you wanted to be a bit of a smart..., you could say that you're dessert is birthday cake...and then have everyone do a birthday cake shot. Here's what you do:
1) Get a wedge of lemon
2) Cover one side of the lemon with sugar.
3) Lick sugar off the lemon.
4) Take a shot of Frangelico liqueur.
5) Bite the lemon.
Sounds crazy, but I promise it tastes remarkably like a generic birthday cake!
