I am currently at a crossroad concerning what to do with the rest of my summer before MS2.

I was wondering how valuable 6 weeks of research can be. I already have 3 years of research experience as a Specialist with 2 publications prior to entering medical school.

The other option would be just shadowing, traveling around the world, and visiting my grandparents in Korea for (possibly the last) the first time in 20 years.

Would you recommend I pursue the research?

Do what you want to do. I went back to my home state, spent good time with family and friends, coaches sports, bummed it, and rested up. Don't be afraid to do nothing. At the same time though, I'm not sure if this applies for people going into super competitive fields. Good luck.
