The only problem I have with my iPhone re: AT&T is paying $100/mo for cell phone service (the data plan alone is 70 bucks) but I doubt it's any different for any PDA plan - What do you pay for the Palm Pre Mikey?

AT&T has never really given me any problems in terms of service or reception or anything, never short of bars even near the hospital building.

My biggest complaint about the iPhone specifically is the inability to send and receive pictures from people - Having to go to Viewmymessage.com and enter all that stuff is just cumbersome.

For me and the wife it's $129 a month...unlimited data/texts, 1500 minutes....I think it's $70 for just one line. I love this damn thing though. It's much less creepy and much more cool than the commercials imply.

That's some f'ing amazing ass ****. I can't believe that the bonds are actually, like, "there"...and not just a human concept we use to show which atom is attached to which other atom. I'm amazed. Really. Holy ****.

My wife is wanting to ditch her KRZR and get something more cool and mentioned the PRE or Blackberry Storm but I hate the idea of mixing cell phones+plans in a household.
 
What camera is used to capture that picture?? Should've done a cooler molecule though, like Glucose. Hell yes.

I will admit, that is really cool.

Yup...ditches the possibility of the bulk discount. How long you got until the contract expires? The Storm 2 is coming out this Winter...just on verizon though...if she doesn't like the iphone and you need to stick with AT&T, the HTC Touch Pro 2 is something she might like...coming out this Fall...on AT&T...and the Pre is supposed to go elsewhere eventually, too...I think Verizon first, however...

It should be coming up pretty soon, actually. I got the iPhone in 2007, I think, and it was a 3 year contract. But they haven't yet sent me anything saying "Hey dumb****, buy a new phone or something" so,I dunno. I could check into it though.

I'm tempted to check into the Palm Pre, although I love my iPhone, it's been so good to me... And the 3GS is pretty sweet, but trying something new would be alright. Tara is basically neutral, whatever will fit into her purse and looks decent and has texting... which basically covers them all. So I know whenI ask, she'll say, "Whatever you want" - I am not deathly loyal to AT&T and have no problem going to Verizon, or Sprint. I am guessing if I'm right about my AT&T contract, it should be up either this year or next...

Your Pre is on Sprint, right?

Yup. They seem alright so far. I work out in B.F.E. Pennsylvania and still get a decent data connection. Blazing fast in Morgantown where we have the fancy 3G towers.

I switched from nTelos...which was the best cellular company ever...they just were too small to ever get any good exclusive phones like the Pre, iPhone, or Storm...

LOL... too true.

Part of the convenience of AT&T lies in the proximity of two AT&T stores here in Davis. I don't even know where there's a Sprint store... lol.

Honestly, I didn't even go to a store for mine. I just ordered it online. They overnighted it to me. Placed the order at like 2PM or so...it was on my door step 9AM the next mornin'.

If you got a Radio Shack or a Best Buy around, you can go there, too...and you can try phones from all 4 major companies...

No Radio Shack, but there's a Best Buy. Might have to stop in there. I can't believe you bought the Pre without ever actually handling it!

Nah, I took it for a test drive at Best Buy for like 30 seconds. I just wanted to see if the keyboard would kill it for me....and it was fine. I'd seen enough online with videos, review, and other such things.

Unfortunately, there is no best router. I've used a model from Zyxel for a few years now, and it's been rock solid, but it's no longer sold. This one isn't cheap, but it looks like a winner. There's also a $40 model.

 
So the Swine Flu apparently hit FAMU over the last week. Here's hoping my immune system holds up.

I don't know how I missed this post the first four times I read it... yeah that one is gross. There's a reason I chose pharm school over med school, and that pus sore is a good illustration of it.

I have to say I am quite impressed with DFW airport...it's probably the nicest "big" airport I've been to...American airlines on the other hand sucks...I wish Pittsburgh was a hub city for a good airline

I hope it is okay that I post this here. I didn't want to start a thread and tick anyone off since I just joined today.

I am taking my technical writing course this semester and there are a few assignments I need to complete that require I "seek out" feedback and/or information regarding the workplace environment from my chosen career.

Upon reviewing the syllabus, basically what I would need to do is ask someone that is a working pharmacist about 8 or 9 questions. Once my little project is completed, I would email it to that pharmacist requesting feedback as to whether my writing would be considered acceptable and professional in their workplace.

If anyone is willing/interested to help me, please let me know. I don't think it would go over well for me to walk into a pharmacy and try to corner someone during their shift so I'm hoping this approach will get me some results.

You probably won't get many answers, as this is supposed to be a thread about things not related to pharmacy. My advice to you would be to post a new thread. Your question would be more visible to the practising pharmacists who regularly post here.

Oh, and by the way, :welcome:
 
Two things I hate about Birmingham, AL.

1. The rain. Once it starts, it just won't stop. Seriously. I had to go shopping for groceries today, and it rained pretty much from the time I woke up until I was almost done.

2. The sucky public transportation system. You would think that a metro area that boasts over a million people would have better transportation. But no. If you miss a bus, it won't be back for another hour! And it is never on time. If you're unfortunate enough to take a bus that breaks down, you could wait as long as 2 hours before you get a replacement. Garrrr.

Good luck with that. I would go down to your local pharmacy and ask the guy in the white coat. It'd take less time and you'd know for sure he was a real pharmacist.

I will post a new thread. I've been lurking for awhile and can tell the "old school members" get frustrated when newbies come in and start threads in the wrong place so I really appreciate your direction. 🙂
