For everyone taking the MCAT on Jan 29th.
I'm glad they offer afternoon tests

Congrats on getting your scores back everyone! And thank you so much for listing your aamc practice scores too.
For those of you who scored really high on the biological sciences section (12+) --- how did you study for this section? Did you use flashcards? How do you deal with the heavy volume of memorizing (i.e. I feel like a lot of bio questions I miss because I did not memorize something well)?
I'm studying for the Apr MCAT right now and am having a lot of trouble getting biological science to improve at all (started a 10 in October and still a 10 in March)
lol. congratulations man. I got the exact same score 34M except i had 1 higher in PS and 1 lower in BS. What happened in your essay? I couldn't finish one of mine. I got cut off in the middle of a word as I was trying desperately to tie it all together at the end.
I've decided not to retake 😀.
Nice 🙂 That must be such a huge relief!! Your score is pretty good, I am sure you will no problem in the application cycle.

Hey you guys,
I got a measley 31R (VB 9, PHY 12, BIO 10). This was my first time taking the test, and my undergrad GPA is 3.7. But I aspire to apply to top and middle-tier schools (e.g. Columbia, NW, BU, etc.), as well as some good Canadian ones. Should I re-take? If I do, it will have to be in early May, which gives me only two months of study time (after a one month break with, I'm sure, a decent amount of info loss).
Addendum: I've been scoring high 20s to low 30s on my practice tests (with a gradual increase upwards, and higher VB scores than what I got). However, I started focusing more on info cramming instead of doing practice tests as MCAT date approached because I was worried I wasn't taking in as much potential info as I could. In hindsight, I should have really just been doing passages since less than 10% of what I read was actually on the test...and lots of new info interpretations were involved. Sigh.
Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated!
