There was someone on here on 2/19 who said that they e-mailed the DCT at Louisville and she said that they are waiting to hear back from the university with regards to funding and that they are a week behind because of that bad storm they had earlier this month. I am waiting to hear from them too!

I haven't heard from Purdue either. I got several emails from my POI a few weeks back but nothing since then. Anyone out there have any updates?

I emailed the department secretary to ask if interviews were extended. Phdprospect, I'll let you know what I hear.

Congrats! I interviewed this past Friday the 27th- I was so surprised that they got back to me so quickly. Maybe I will see you in the fall!!!

UMD - college park PhD has already sent out its initial offers (like 2 weeks ago), sorry! here's to hoping people will decline them...
 
SO finally I get to post here: Accepted at UNR via phone call and email from POI on Friday!!!! YAY YAY YAY YAY!!!!

I am having a tough time weighing a decision between two wonderful schools (it is a great problem to have) and I was hoping for some general input. One school the POI is very well known and prestigious in my field of interest and the other school is just an overall well rounded program in terms of training with a generally well known POI. Do you go with the more well rounded program, or the prestige and opportunities that working with a legend in the field provides?

....Also, as the poster above asked, how do you choose a program???? I think I change my mind every hour on the hour! The anxiety during this process NEVER ends...but I am grateful for my offers, of course.

Are you sure? They said they only send out info. regarding acceptance/rejection by mail, and they wait until march 15th after all interviews are through?
 
.Has anyone other than SourPatchKid heard from American? I'm so nervous I feel like there are two anvils- one on my chest and one above my head waiting to fall. hhaha. Maybe they are just taking a while to figure out funding... ahh... optimism.
If you want you can just PM me with details... I'd rather know than continue this horrid waiting game.

Thanks for letting me know! I really appreciate it . . . at least now I can direct my energy to hoping that other people decline the offer

yes I did! i thought it went well at that time but the more i think about it the more hopeless i get 🙁 how did yours go?

Are you sure? I know they were meeting yesterday but the prof. I interviewed with said they will be contacting people by mid March...

My prof told me they were meeting yesterday and that calls would be made today.
 
They definitely are calling people today and tomorrow.

All said that after interviews you'd hear w/in 2 weeks... however that deadline is this Friday (for the latest interview) and yet I've heard nothing from any of them. I also haven't seen any rejections/acceptances on these guys either.

I met someone randomly today who was accepted to BU and she was informed by her POI. That's all of the info I have heard.
I have not heard from my POI myself.
 
Has anyone heard from Marquette? I was at their last interview day, on 2/20, and they said that we would hear in a week. It hasn't been too long, but I wondered if anyone has heard either way.
 
Has anyone heard anything? It's been 3 weeks since interviews. I'm dying.
 
I too am waiting patiently to hear from UM's child developmental track. I did call the psych department and they said "some offers" have already been given, but not all.
Just remember to alternate fingers while biting your nails, I am starting to wear unevenly! lol
 
For folks who are choosing between two programs - it would be great if you post which one you choose. Thanks!
 
I never thought I would be posting here, but I am so thrilled.

I received a call today from the DCT of The University of Southern Mississippi with an invitation to attend! (Clinical PhD)

I am so elated. I was so convinced when I interviewed there that they were a perfect fit for me. I'm still waiting to hear from another school though before I make my decision.

I'm going to grad school! Yayyyy!
