Long time reader, first time poster!

I got accepted via a call from my POI at Rutgers clinical PhD program. He mentioned that he had sent an email to what he thought was my correct email address last week, but it turns out he had typed the address incorrectly! So he got an email back from another person with a name similar to mine at the med school at which I work saying "i think i got this email in error"!!!! Here I was completely giving up hope for this year! 😀

🙂 accepted this afternoon through an email from my POI. apparently she had called earlier and wasn't able to get through.... thank goodness she tried email!

It pains me to ask because the fact that I'm still waiting can't be a good thing, but has anyone heard anything from Chapel Hill?

Thanks!

Offered admissions via email and a follow up phone call 3/3 by my POI at Bowling Green's clinical psych PhD program

i know someone who was accepted to UNC-Chapel Hill. Unforunately, I don't know much more than that...

Thanks for posting. Do you happen to know who their POI was? If so, could possibly PM it to me (or post it if you feel comfortable)

Thanks!

Hi all! This is my virgin post... have been lurking in the shadows for quite some time. I was accepted to CUNY last night via phone call from the DCT.

Good luck to everyone!

Today is my lucky day. AND, for the record, they originally waitlisted me. So please don't think a waitlist's a rejection.😀

Congrats to everyone!!

Oh wow congrats!
I did not think they would extend acceptances this early.

Did you receive that via email or snail mail?

Hey neurocenni. I did the interview on Feb 10th, found out I was waitlisted, like, a week ago. And then today they let me in.

When'd you interview? Also, I didn't interview for the neuropsych. minor, so maybe that makes a difference... (I'm guessing you did by your username). A

I'm not sure about the neuropsych thing either....
I interviewed on the 4th...I have not heard anything about being wait-listed or anything.... 😕

Congats! How did you know you were waitlisted? I interviewed there as well. Should I call them to find out my status?

Just got an email this evening from DCT telling me I was accepted into the Clinical PhD program at Yeshiva University. I was originally waitlisted also and I only found out because I received an email telling me I was accepted into the MA program and that, that did not affect my standing as an alternate for the PhD position.

I already accepted an offer from my top school so I am kindly turning down their offer.

😎

I actually got the same email and called the schools and they said it didn't mean that I was on the wait list. I guess it actually did (how confusing 😱). Do you think it's acceptable to call and ask where I'm at on the list? This process is making me insane. All this waiting :xf::scared:

Different Schools obviously have different ways of approaching their prospective students.

I interviewed at Temple on 2/6 and they still have not contacted me.

I emailed them 2 weeks ago and one of their faculty responded to my email and said they meant to call me the night before but ran out of time (wth?!)... This person said they would call me the following day to tell me about my status. It has been 2 weeks and I am still waiting to hear from them.

CUNY contacted me almost 2 weeks after interviewing and Yeshiva contacted me exactly three weeks after interviewing.

I have decided to not interview at the other places I was going to interview at since i have already accepted an offer from CUNY.

well I hope to God CUNY has more calls to go tomorrow cause if not its another year of waiting for me

Got called late last night by DCT, only just now got the voicemail, but he said he had "good news" for me, so I'm assuming that is an acceptance.

I met someone randomly today who was accepted to BU and she was informed by her POI. That's all of the info I have heard.
I have not heard from my POI myself.

Do you know when she said she was accepted? I interviewed last Monday, and my POI said she could not possibly imagine them making offers any time before 2 weeks after that (which would be next week)...Is this for the clinical phd?

I LOLed at that. Literally.

That would make a great commercial, actually. Some poor applicant picks up the phone and is all excited, just to hear that.

that was really funny, and we can all use some comic relief during this process! Getting into grad school: so easy, a caveman can do it 😉

Hey! About a week ago, they sent me this emai saying that my status was "still pending" and they mentioned something about my position as an alternate and that I got in to the MA program.

Anyway, YES, call them! There's no point in prolonging the misery! I wish you best of luck. They have 16 spots for 2009, which is a lot... THERE IS A LOT OF HOPE! It's really early still!!!

I interviewed for the Clinical Psychology Ph.D with Health Emphasis, on Feb 10th.

How long ago did CUNY contact you to offer you admission?

i did a couple of phone follow-up interviews with faculty members at drexel a week ago, but i haven't heard anything since then

I'm obviously beginning to freak out as my options are dwindling...

I sent a thank you email to my POI from my top choice after my interview and I got a quick reply back that stated I was "an excellent candidate for the program" and he would be in touch shortly.

At first this solidified my belief that I was a good fit and definitely bolstered my confidence... but now, after 2 weeks and no decision from the program, I don't know.

Do you think I'm reading too much into his email? Is this a typical response to a thank you note?
