The secondary was completed at the beginning of July. The date for the interview was given; however, there were also other dates to choose from.
 
First post on this site, but I got an invite for the interviews on the 25th and 26th as well! Does anyone know if GRU does group interviews, individuals, or a combination of the two?
 
do you need to send additional transcripts to GRU or do they use the ones from AADSAS?
 
what types of things did you guys discuss in the Q that asks, "why GRU CDM is the institution where you want to receive your dental education"?

I talked about few things location, community, and programs they have, but my essay turns out to be quite short. Im not sure what else to include?

any help would be greatly appreciated! I want to get my app submitted by tom!

That question took me a little bit of time as well, but try talking about how GRU produces quality dentists and cite shadowing experiences with dentists who went to the school (I'm assuming you are from Georgia). Kills 2 birds with 1 stone, which is always a great thing. Hope this helps a fellow LeBron James fan!
 
So what are some schools that a GA resident actually has a decent shot at other than GRU? Honestly, GRU is my first choice. But i want to apply to a couple of others, but at the same time I dont want to waste my time and money applying to a school I have no shot at.

Got an Interview for 10/21! I'm an OOS student--got the interview on 8/6, but it went to my spam folder.
 
Got an interview for 9/9! I'm OOS. Sent the supplemental in 7/31

I got an interview for 9/9. This is my home state school and im so thankful and excited!

I submitted the secondary app on 8/5 but my application wasnt complete until the 12th when my DAT score was updated on AADSAS. My stats are 3.6gpa, 19aa, 19ta, 19pa.
 
Just sent my application in. Im a GA resident. Stats:

3.79 gpa
20AA
20PAT
21TS

What do you guys think my chances are?

Got an interview invite this afternoon for September 20th! I applied in the second batch but one of my letters wasn't submitted until two weeks later and that apparently held things up.

undergrad gpa: 3.15, post-bac gpa: 4.00, overall 3.30

what's the dress code for the reception with dent students the night before the interview?
 
Business casual: button up shirt, khakis, sperrys. You can't go wrong with that.
 
hey guys quick question. for the supplemental i was wondering about the ACT section. It says to input V, M, S.S., N.S., and composite scores for the ACT.

Im not sure what the S.S. and the N.S. are referring to. The composite is obvious, im thinking V is the english and M is Math. If someone can help me figure out what S.S, and N.S are I would really appreciate it! Thanks!
 
Hey y'all,

So I submitted my secondary app the same day I received it (August 26th), and the ApplyWeb site says that it was confirmed on the 27th. However, I checked it again and it still says confirmed, but the date changed to September 4th. The AADSAS status says "App received/awaiting additional information" from August 26th so I assume that they mean the secondary app, but shouldn't they have received it and updated by now? I'm scared to call the admissions office again since I've been calling a lot trying to get stuff straightened out. Don't want to be a nuisance 🙁

For the ones who have gotten interviews, how long of a wait was it between the email/call and the date you submitted your secondary app? Just gauging if I really need to call or not!

I called them about the awaiting information deal and they said it just meant they were awaiting a decision from the AdCom

@haileypark it depends on a case to case bases as to how long of a wait between primary and secondary. I submitted primary 6/13 and received secondary's 6/28.
Gru gives out secondary's to all in-state, but not all of out of state will be sent the app.

I just received an interview invite! I am OOS (NC). Interviewing on September 29th and 30th.
 
Just got invited on 9/18 to interview on Sep. 29th and 30th. I'm OOS from SC.

oGPA: 3.82
sciGPA: 3.76
DAT: 20AA / 21TS / 23PAT

Anybody know what the interview day is like? Is it pretty laid back? Anybody know if there are any certain questions to expect?

I'm interviewing this coming Monday, 9/30. What all should we bring with us to the interviews? So far, I'm just taking a leather portfolio for notes and to hold copies of my recent DAT scores and a copy of my application. I know we're supposed to take proof of lawful presence with us. Anything else I'm forgetting? Sorry if someone already asked this
 
What are y'all wearing to the reception the night before? (Girls)

The questions are very basic and relaxed I promise! Just know why dentistry, why GRU, shadowing experiences, impactful college experiences (both academic and not), and what sets you apart. The key here is to really just tell "your story", that's all they are looking for; if you think about it, your story will encompass all of the answers to the questions listed above anyways!

You will see a bit of a variety at the night before reception. I wore skinny black pants and a blousey top. You are meeting with students to ask questions, so the key is to just look put together, nothing too nice or interview-like. Some other girls wore casual dresses and cardigans. Don't overthink it!
 
I have an interview coming, anybody have any advice or what type of questions to expect?
 
Has anyone received a rejection from this school yet?
 
Haven't heard of anyone getting rejections just yet but I do know that they are over halfway through interviews for this cycle, but there is still plenty of time left.
