According to the ADEA dental school explorer, their mean GPA is 2.94. The lowest they've accepted for 2016 was 2.22. The mean DAT score was 17.5.

That would make me feel like I now have a chance, lol i had higher stats than that last year, I went in person to go talk to them them and they told me my DAT was fine, but to go do a masters, which i am currently in. Im gonna apply next cycle, and hopefully atleast get an interview haha took two years off to buff up my application.

Before, I didn't get an interview. Keep in mind if you do get interviewed from this school, there is an 85% acceptance rate of interviewees since not many people get interviews to begin with.

That's interesting. I am waiting for an invitation. My stats are good GPA 3.7 PAT 24 but DAT is 19.
should I call them?

Your dat is great haha, and gpa as well. Howard just is very very pecular, I just know they highly highly value volunteer work in underserved areas. Another thing is that alot of students there have a masters degree, not all but a decent amount of them do. Aside from that I dont know what else they look for tbh, i know alot of people with high stats not get even an interview here while lower stats get accepted, and at the same time i know kids who had high stats who got in, and REALLY low stats (me last year) but with underserved population experience get rejected. So just gotta do the waiting game.

It takes a while before AADSAS gets updated for a lot of schools, so be patient. Also a bit of advice, Howard takes a lot of time, I applied in June last year and didn't get an invite until October and an acceptance on Dec 1st, so be patient.

I saw some asking for my stats, honestly, I don’t want anyone to get caught up in the comparing game. You’re all awesome and numbers are just numbers. Hang in there, we still have until maybe April/May before classes are really finalized.

Hi I totally forgot to post on the 1st, but I was also accepted. Unfortunately, I will be declining the offer but I am so happy that my seat will be going to another deserving soul. Congratulations to you all!!

I got accepted as well!! Really excited to meet others who will be attending!
 
So I sent my money order in July but they have still not cashed it and my application says waiting for more information... I have tried contacting them since then through email and phone but nothing works. Any advice? The phone numbers they listed haven't gone through.

My DAT was low but my grades have been a 3.5+ since my junior year. I have a 3.45 sgpa. Just giving you guys some insight on my stats. I also volunteered alot in underserved communities and during my interview I made that known.

What's low? Haha some people have different definitions of that word

As long as your AA is not less than 18, I think you should be fine! With Howard, you should have a pretty good GPA and quite a bit of volunteering in underserved communities, which you do.
