I see alot of people make this thread for their MCAT date. I was unable to find one for this date so I took the liberty to make one. Please share what you have found works or does not work for you?

On a side note,

Is anyone able to access the screen that shows you available test dates in your state? Mine keeps showing up as blank so I'm not sure.

Thanks

The MCAT seeped into my dreams last night. Dreamed I got a 32 and I was SO HAPPY. There's no way that actually happened.

I'm actually not as nervous today...had to tell myself I have a job that I enjoy, I'm a graduate student, and I still have that even if I get a 17 on the MCAT. ...so if that happens, my life is not over.

Gonna have to keep telling myself that...:scared:

Ughhhh. I have to leave for work in 10 minutes where I won't have access to the internet, and I wont get home til about 9:30 EST........ that's torture.

Had the worst sleep ever. I kept wondering about what I would do if I got lower than my old MCAT score. Since I "studied" for barely 3 weeks last time and got a horrible score in the low 20's... I would hope that I get higher this time since I studied about 4 months this time around. But my AAMC practice test scores were all over the place and I feel weird about the test I took so I'm unsure about my performance. What if I get low 20's again? Should I quit this med school idea? *sigh*

Haha, I love the boards, but I'm glad that I've been staying away from this place for the vast majority of the month.

Here is how I feel:

If you did well on the MCAT this time around, congratulations!

If you didn't, you are going to pick yourself up, you are going to restudy that material, and then get that 42 you've been dreaming about since you crawled out of the womb.

Either way, we WILL get into medical school and we WILL become physicians.

Go pop in a movie for the next few hours.

Guys, what would it take to get into an MD school with a 25 or 26?

Is such a thing even possible?

Agreed with Eileron. I'm shooting for DO because I love the hands-on, holistic philosophy. It's a growing theory of medicine that is highly respected, so if you can pull off mid to high 20s, you'll be fine for a DO school! Best of luck!

I think today's the day I go see the dark knight

Yes I know and I was shooting for DO because the philosophy is something I adhere to but for some reason I feel like I won't break a 25. Gosh I'm so pessimistic suddenly!

Just a few hours! Eeeek!

Remember this feeling, channel the passion

be true to your convictions, like it's the latest fashion

After subpar scores

and even worse LOR's

There's still hope to be sure

If your motives stand pure

On the THX we don't see any "pending" score notification right? Like if we took one before we see that score report, and nothing else right?

I am worried that it'll be time and I won't get my score... I am considering just checking it tomorrow morning...

Mine just shows my previous score and nothing more.

I'm glad. 🙂

People are pre-maturely spazzing out and getting all worked up. It's understandable, but no matter how much time you spend refreshing the page or freaking out over your score, it isn't changing.

If you didn't do well, you will handle it if and when that occurs and you will do better the next time around. Be at peace with that.

Hey guys,

May 31 test taker here. I fondly remember the depressing one month experience until my scores were released, but trust me, it was worth the wait.

If you sincerely put in the time and work to prepare for this exam, that's what really matters and hopefully God will crown your efforts.

I walked out of the exam with little confidence but I ended up doing pretty well and scoring about 4 points higher than my AAMC average.

Wishing everyone the BEST!! 🙂

Trust me, the MCAT is standard so it really just depends on how you did compared to everyone else. I remember about 3 people in the room I took the exam telling me they voided once we got out. I'm not the type to void even when I feel down so I stuck with my guts.

Our PS was tough but that's my strong point so I thought it was fair, verbal was verbal (longer passages but you never really know how you did). BS was the most difficult section with 2 abnormal passages. Overall, it was a daunting experience.

Plus, I think WAAAY more people took the June exam and this should also help since your scores would be scaled over a much larger sample. The May 31 thread is only about 15 pages long compared to this forum.

Hope that helped!

I have a legitimate question here....

For all June 21 2pm test takers, although most of the test is the same for all of us, can there be slight variations in the tests...Like a different set of discretes on one of the pages?

^Most definitely. I highly doubt that all 2pmers across the country/world get the exact same test.

Wow, just checked the # of replies in this thread and we've surpassed 4/28/12 by far. I thought their thread was going to set a record, guess not lol. They still have about 2k+ more views than us, but I have a feeling that will change in a few hours 🙂

Firstly, please let me k now if anyone has answer to my question about having slight differences.

Also, when will everyone start to realize that the curve is set BEFORE the exam. The AAMC asseses the difficulty of each question before the exam based on how people performed on them as experimentals. The number of people who took our exam or how they did has NO BEARING on the curve!

am i the only one here who doesn't want to know his score? or at least hold it off for a week? I'm going away with my friends this weekend and I don't want to have the possibility of a poor score being a black cloud around me.

I took 4/28 and that thread started blowing up big time around noon CT. All I can say was that there was some super annoying people and when the scores came out a bunch of them claimed to be getting 40's (Bullcrap). If I did well I wouldnt brag about it on a forum where people are so on edge, thats just cruel!

I can verify that each exam even during the same time slot have slight variations. My ex and I took the MCAT a long time ago and we were looking up questions on google for some that we were iffy on and he typed in several that were completely different and yet we had the same passage topic. So I'm pretty sure each of us have slight variations.
