I think it's a great chance of getting an acceptance if your interview goes well. I think a really fair amount of their Dec acceptances are turned down since those applicants got accepted to multiple schools. Good luck! :luck:

For those that interviewed was this an open file or closed file interview? Any specific questions about your application or is it up to you to highlight the important stuff in your application?

closed file. they ask everyone the same generic question: why dentistry? what type of community service were you involved in? and etc
 
i got a call this morning at 10 am CST. Lady told me that someone dropped their offer. Then she asked: Did u get accepted yet? Do you want this offer? i said YES TWICE HAHAHAHA

im finally in!!

i think it's actually open file, they just don't ask you specific questions about it since you're in a group setting. i say this because when we went around the table in the beginning for 'tell us something about yourself,' one of the interviewers responded to my intro by referencing something from my app: 'ooh, you're the one who xxx.'
 
I got a call an hour ago!!! I am in!!! Yay... (interviewed on 12/5) I was always the last one to answer the question (expect one question, I answered it the second to the last). So, I can say it loud," It is okey to be the last one to answer! It is more important on answering the questions with confident and with ur points. Being considerate to ur group mates all the time, and smile! Good luck to anyone!!!

im from houston and will probably go if I cant get into UTHSCSA.

thank youuu, i interviewed nov 2. they're calling as spots open up, and stephanie said you should hear by jan 7, or else call them and ask. if the trend holds, they call ~11am est

Just curious, how long was it between when they received your supplemental and when you heard back from them (interview/rejection/anything)?

we weren't on the official waitlist. We had blank status

i received an invite a week after my supplemental was processed
 
My girlfriend and I will be withdrawing our acceptances so I guess 2 of you will be getting the call on Monday. We have decided to go elsewhere. Good luck!
 
Good luck where you and your girl decide to go. I doubt a call will be made on Monday...given that it's Christmas Eve. But it would be a great Christmas gift if I did get a call on Monday. Mrs. Quilichini, if you read this and I'm the next in line, feel free to call!

Yes. I got an email last Wednesday or Thursday at about 9 AM saying they had received my supplemental and then by 11 AM I had an email saying I got an interview for Jan 24.
 
Has anyone accepted received a matriculation packet? I received an email saying that they received my deposit and that there was important information attached but there were no attachments....just wondering

The attachments would be the matriculation packets that should have been included in that email. Just email/call them so they can send everything you need.

They sent an email to the people on the alternate list (at least to me they did) saying we could hear something as early as tomorrow since the deposits were due today. Could be Monday or Tuesday though but it sounded like they were going to get a move on it as they asked for confirmation that we were still interested in attending by 9 tomorrow morning. That's all that I have heard of though other than a few people who posted earlier about receiving a call recently.
 
I received my matriculation email today..now i will continue my search for a place to live!

What do you guys think it means if you received the "favorable position" email last month but have not received the alternate email spoken about above? Anyone else in this same predicament???

Favorable position sounds like the next thing after alternate list. Could be wrong but it is still nothing to worry about. They said they sent out 500 interviews last year and 300 offers for 100 seats. I would imagine the 300 number would be a bit smaller this year but since it is still a brand new school without much of a reputation yet it sounds like they speculate you should still receive an offer eventually, maybe just not the first couple batches. Still sounds promising though

I received email yesterday as well. Crossing my fingers hoping to hear something soon.
 
Does anyone know after how many days LECOM will cash your deposits after they receive it? I sent out my on the 21st, and they have not cash it yet...

I don't want to call them but does it usually take this long?
 
I'd give them at least another week or two before calling. They were closed for the holidays and might wait to cash the deposits several at a time.
