Hey hey, I was wondering if the ft. lauderdale airport is the best airport to fly into?
where did you stay while you were down in floria?
 
I stayes at courtyard plantaion. I flew in ft. lauderdale hollywood airport. had a shuttle came pick me.up

that's convenient! I think I saw your post that said that there's a shuttle that dropped you off/pick you up from the school??

how many days did you stay down in fl? you're not a fl resident, are ya?
 
i came from houston, tx and stayed 3 days/2nights. shuttle did come pick us up at school and airport.
 
Got an Interview offer e-mail today. Only dates available were in December and January :/. I'll be at the January 3rd interview.

well i got my interview invitation in July but i couldn't make it for any of the dates that were still open, even then they were filling up quick!
 
Just got an interview invite yesterday and scheduled it for 1/4.
 
Anyone know what's up with the question asking which dental schools you applied to? I've never come across this, and am wondering if they use it for application screening?

i have actually got that question on every interview so far, and I don't think they use it against you. Someone told me that they actually like to hear that you applied to multiple schools so they know you are serious about dental school because if we don't get into our 1st choice then we will go to whatever school accepts us because we are focused on working in the dental field no matter which school....but I don't think it helps/hurts your application process, it should be for just informational purposes.
 
Does anyone know the post Dec. 3rd acceptance rate for NOVA? I've heard that the pre-december rate is pretty darn high. I scheduled an interview Dec. 7th (So pissed... missed it by 4 days!)
 
Hey guys! I have an interview Nov. 9th, but can't help but notice that NOVA has a zillion interview dates. Are there a lot of people there at once, or do they just have more interviews with fewer people?
Also, anyone who's interviewed have any thoughts on the program, or get any curveball questions?

actually i think the students told us they interview ~400 and accept ~110... those numbers may have changed but it looks like a pretty good ratio of acceptances based off of interviews.... when I interviewed I didn't receive any curve ball questions at all, they just wanted to get to know me and it was very relaxed. The program from what I saw and researched beforehand seems fairly normal compared to other programs, however they do say they stress the importance of faculty-student relationships which I think is a great characteristic. Once you see the campus though, I am pretty sure you will fall in love lol!!
 
I just rescheduled my interview from Dec. 7th to November 8th! If y'all got a post December interview, I advise you to keep checking the portal because pre-December times do open up!

I am so mad, I rescheduled my interview from Jan to Nov yesterday and this morning I received an email that my interview in Nov is cancelled!! Did this happen to anyone???

omg this happened to me too, but I was lucky enough to log back in and schedule the same day again. I think it happened to me because I didn't cancel my previous interview date before scheduling this one. Try dropping your other one first. I was really pissed when this happend too, I hate portals.

I couldn't reschedule it because it was full already, I even called the school but they couldn't help either. I almost bought a flight ticket yesterday. I am sad and mad because I was excited to be in a pre-december interview :-( I was refreshing the calendar page for 3 weeks straight to finally find something before December.... whoever stole my spot, give it back to me!! hehe LOL

I called to book a room for a night and they said they there's no shuttle services to/from NSU 🙁

gahhh idk where to stay now. i feel like itd be easier to get a rental car or something but.. any suggestion?

That's B.S. courtyard plantation has a shuttle. I arrived like 8pm and they still came for me.

They said they only do it from/ to the airport.

i just took a cab.... it was actually very cheap because NSU was pretty close to all of the hotels listed on that recommended hotels list.... i stayed at the holiday in express and loved it!
 
My interview is on Dec 13th and I reserved my hotel room last week. It has two beds, so if anyone hasn't booked anything yet and has an interview then, just let me know!
 
Hello. I have an interview this Friday at nova! However, I still have yet to receive a confirmation email with my appointment and where to go and all that. I've trying calling the number and emailing but still no response yet. Can anyone who has already had an interview or one coming up give me any additional information? Is there any documentation I need to bring or what building do we check in at? I reviewed the nova map and know where the dental school building is but I am just looking for more information. Any help would be appreciated, thank you! Good luck to all of you! 🙂

its generic. why dentistry, any community service, what do you think about PBL and ebooks (vital source)?

again its very basic.

it happened to me too! you're supposed to cancel the first date if you reschedule. I got my earlier interview date cancelled too. I just had to keep looking and finally found an even better date that opened up, good luck!

I was able to find something in Dec but I still prefer a pre-December interview 🙂 Good luck on your interview!

I have my interview on the 8th but I just checked the portal and there is a spot open for the 14th if anyone wants to nab it haha
