Yeah they send it via email but sometimes it seems that the email fail and end up in spam and people don't realize they had an interview invitation- happened to me but they told me I was invited when I called for the status of my application.


Did anyone receive anything that interviewed on Feb 8th? Just dying here and wondering if I should call them up to ask for the status of my application

I applied late july and received an interview in mid January. 22 AA 3.7 GPA

I interviewed on the 8th of February.

I interviewed on the Feb. 8th as well so I guess I was at the same interview as him lol. There were about a dozen people at the interview and it was one-on-one interview

its a close call but I would say so..i interviewed in buffalo and i went here for undergrad and grad so its a very close 1st and 2nd...but I loved NYU and NYC and I think I would go there if i get in..

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I was accepted to Nova and after much thought and consideration I will be declining NYU. I loved NYU and would have gone in a heartbeat if Nova hadn't accepted me, but it simply came down to money, a second deposit of $3500 is abusive in my view and housing there is ridiculous. At the end of the day I know I will be happier closer to home and in warmer weather. But anyway, that's good news to you guys still waiting because another spot will open and my guess is many more will open when the second deposit is due. Best of luck!

don't worry. my interview was 10 minutes (thats including me asking questions about NYU) and i got accepted.

Hey I interviewed with you. I emailed them after the interview to update my file. They just got back to me today. They said none of the decisions from last week have been made yet.

I had 22aa 21 ts and 3.75 gpa. My interview was about 15 minutes long. I waa dying until I found out about my decision! Good luck

I know this is the typical question that comes up with NYU, but is everyone cool on taking out this much debt? I can't say that I'm not a little concerned and even if I get accepted after my interview, I'd have to think long and hard before making a commitment like that.

That said, I just signed up for my interview and am thrilled to visit the city and school!

They said it typically takes graduates 8.5 years to pay off your debt. I don't buy it at all personally, but if it makes you feel better that's what they told my interview group.

They told me 7 years lol. I guess they are just spitting numbers out. Also you have to consider NYU was much cheaper a few years back.

They can easily say it takes an average of 7 years to pay back [speaks softly that no one can hear] for class of 2001 ;-)

I believe they told me that NYU is in fact not that much expensive compared to other dental schools, it's just the living expense that increases the cost dramatically. Living expense can be greatly saved if you decide to live little further away from the school such as queens or brooklyn. I'm not saying NYU is not expensive, but other dental schools are expensive as well

I called last wednesday morning and they told me that they have mailed out the decision. I was frustrated and thought that I got waitlisted as well but I got my acceptance email later in the day. so don't lose hope

Acceptance package just says that we just have to keep satisfactory grades ... whatever that means. And yes its conditional on obtaining a degree after this term, and completing all pre-reqs, as well as the grades.

I'm guessing keep your grades above 80%? i'm not sure if 70's are considered satisfactory, obviously lower than that could be an issue.

Does anyone know here how many years on an average does it take to pay off a loan of 300000 dollars plus the debt.. I have heard ppl saying what the college has mentioned regarding some pay it in 7 years while others can do it till 8 and a half years..but does anybody have a correct estimate from someone who was an nyu graaduate and is paying off their loans...
