not really. I've never said anything on this site i'd be ashamed/upset to have linked with me, plus i'm already in medical school. Most people have a gazillion pics on facebook or myspace, what's the difference?

I guess so. I don't use myspace or facebook for the same paranoid reasons.

there are a lot of ppl here who say things and hide behind the relative anonymity offered via these kinds of sites. But anyone who has a facebook or myspace page (or knows someone with one who may have posted a pick of them anyway), is on the internet. I'm on the web from my jobs, and leadership positions in my school. I'm not worried because I don't really believe in saying something I don't mean, and since I always try to be as honest as possible I'd say what I say here in person or on the web. Although I am sans an acceptance (or interview), I would like to think that the schools if they were to read what I say if nothing else would say that I'm honest and I speak my mind. (read: adds a interesting dynamic to the academic environment, confident, and open to new things and discussions 😉 )

I am also on the web for the same reasons, but have avoided using myspace or facebook because I really don't like the idea of anyone being able to look me up and find out more information about me than I want them too.

I think on all of those sites you can limit your privacy settings. they probably did this for all the minors who may post "less than ideal" info about themselves...like that PSA about the girl who has everyone in town asking her what she's going to post next...creepy!
