*** The Official Roseman Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread ***

I was wondering, I didn't get the email confirmation yet. I spoke to the admission office twice and they said they sent me a confirmation, I did check my junk email too. Has that happened to anyone else too? Are they sending confirmation to the wrong person?

I have interview invitation though

I finished my masters at Texas A&M's BIMS Graduate program. I strongly recommend it to anyone who's preparing for professional school but needs a boost to their GPA.

We are interviewing on the same day!
Where are you planning on staying ?

You should call and ask if they have a shuttle. I think the Hampton does.

Same here ! are you planning on walking to the interview that morning ?

Sweet! Maybe we can meet up that evening before. Yea I'm planning on walking, it's only 0.3 miles. They said they have a shuttle, however depending on how early the interview is it may or may not be available.

Interview scheduled for Oct 16th.
Passed on the opportunity to have it in September due to conflict of interview dates.

Gonna leave this here now for those that have the same date.
Willing to split costs for room and transportation with someone. PM me if you're interested!

anyone know if we are the first group to interview there ?

I'm not quite sure but I think it is. I got an invite the first day Roseman started sending them and don't remember being given another option over the phone.

What kind of rates were you guys getting for the Home2Suites hotel?

Booking my flight for a October 16 interview and was wondering if departure at 6:55pm is reasonable if my interview is at noon? Email said approx. 5 hours day and 30 min drive to the airport. Should I factor in traffic?

I think that's more than sufficient time. Seems like it should be over between 12-2pm knowing that my interview slot is probably the first one.

For anyone who's going to the interview on the 18th, I am thinking of renting a car for the day and just driving around myself (I did this last year and I found it more convenient). Is there anyone who's going from a nearby hotel that may need a ride for the afternoon interview? I'll be staying at the Holiday Inn at Sandy.

I'm from Utah, plan on 45 minutes from airport just in case. That's just driving time, not time spent in the airport after arrival.

If you are leaving anywhere close to 5, plan on an hour drive from the school to the airport. 5:00 rush hour traffic is terrible. I would even try to avoid the freeway.

Good luck on your interviews everyone! I just started at Roseman as a D1. A couple of changes they just made this year is we are already working on composite to work on our hand skills and learn the tooth anatomy instead of using wax. They said we will be using wax very little, which I like. Also they have made a winter remediation, so if you don't have to remediate any classes then you essentially get the week of Thanksgiving through New Years off which is a nice motivating factor. Anyway, if you have any questions just message me. I don't have all the answers but I used to come on sdn a lot last cycle for all of the schools I interviewed at so I want to help as much as possible.

So I just now found this thread lol I was also invited for an interview and I can't wait!
Notification date: 8/28/2015
Interview date: 09/18/15
Residency: OK

Good luck to everyone!

Someone messaged me asking how I prepared for the interview, so I thought I would post it here in case anyone else is interested. First, I just wanted to go over the interview day structure from last year. We first met together, I think there were 40 students in the morning and another 40 in the afternoon, and Dr. Harmon went over Roseman's program and curriculum. We then split into two groups where half of the students went to get the one on one interviews while the other half stayed for the group portion. I interviewed with 2 faculty and 1 student. We also met with current D2 and D3 students in a conference room to ask them any questions we wanted about the school and area. The group portion consisted of getting together with a few other people and getting to know them and introducing each other in front of everyone. I didn't really prepare for the interview since I didn't interview until January and it was my fourth interview so I had already gotten a bunch of questions so be prepared for the standard ones like why dentistry and talking about yourself. They also like leadership ability, so being able to explain that in some way. Also working in teams is really big, so you can demonstrate how well you get along with others in the group portion and talk about it in your individual portion. Lastly, like everyone says, just be yourself and if you're naturally shy then just try to open up a little more and talk with others while still being yourself.

so every one get both individual and group interviews? sorry I got confuse

Individual and group. The group thing wasn't really an interview. You get to know each other and introduce each other based on some questions he gave us to ask each other. All the groups were in their own rooms. There were three other students in my group

I'll be there tomorrow morning, hope to see some people there!
Also if someone is like running late for a flight afterwards and needs a ride or something I live in that direction and can help just let me know.
