The Official Touro Class of 2020 Interview/Acceptance Thread

I got an interview invite yesterday (Feb 3rd) via email. I applied late January when I heard about Touro being open and everything was sent on Jan/29. They told me that the earliest day they can offer is Feb/24 and the next available one is on the 3rd week of march due to spring break. They said i can choose either morning or afternoon sessions so Im assuming that they have a few more spots left for the Feb/24 interview. Good luck everyone.
 
where do we take basic science courses? do they have auditorium?
 
For those who already have their interview, did they say how long it would take to hear about acceptance/ results?

To be honest with you, every time you post I have an internal struggle between telling you it's unnecessary to be so rude to people, or laughing my ass off. Take that as you may.

Like I mentioned earlier, their ability to respond to us with acceptances/rejections is contingent on their notification of accreditation from 3rd parties. In other words, they don't know when and we don't know when. They can only hope it will be within the next month or so. They do not have permission to release decisions, they were only granted permission to hold interviews. They already started to make their decisions, of course, but unfortunately they cannot release them until they receive full accreditation. Does that make sense?

Scheduled my interview for March 28th, thats when I have spring break. They still have eariler Mondays and Wednesdays open.

My stats are 3.46 GPA 3.23 sGPA 19PAT 21AA
 
Since I do not have a solid spot reserved for me, I am also waiting for an interview invite.
GPA pretty mediocre, 3.4~3.45 ish, but high AA and TS (24/24)

Touro, send me an invite!

Has anyone got accepted yet? Interesting to see the turn out.
 
read the above comments, theyre not allowed to hand out acceptances until after the accreditation process has finished.

I never sent my application, they actually reached out to me. I'm not the only student that's received this offer according to the people I spoke with. They also said those offered could bypass the interview process contingent on having acceptances at other schools.

Sounds unorthodox but again Feralis is a legend. The guy single handedly created one the most comprehensive bio review for the DAT. Best of all his bio review/notes are available for free. This guy, DAT Bootcamp and Destroyer saved students such as myself thousands of dollars on prep material. If anyone deserves a full ride it's this guy.#takethatkaplan&princetonreview#joeblogshasnothingonme
 
I never believed it to begin with. Why would they do that? They have more than enough well qualified applicants.

Tell them they can black out their name if they are concerned about others knowing who they are. I speculate they will either respond with anger and some nonsensical excuse, or go silent about the matter. The lack of proof should quell the concerns of forum participants.

While I am flattered by the extent of inquiry on my behalf, I've already stated they didn't make the offer via letter (we spoke via phone after I was contacted on here - I've already said this). It was informal and contingent upon several factors, including me actually submitting an application. I chose not to pursue it.

Am I surprised they're denying that their full scholarship offer (again, of which I was not the only one extended an offer) was turned down? Not at all. It doesn't look good for them to fail to entice students. I have no reason to lie - it doesn't benefit me in any way to claim I received a scholarship I turned down.

Show us proof that they contacted you on here....did it happen to all of a sudden disappear?

The dean of Touro is saying that its not true... I think the person who emailed had concerns about the school because it is a discrediting statement to say that Touro is getting on here hunting people down and offering them scholarships because they are in desperate need of students. I have asked Touro before about full scholarships and they told me that those don't exist and won't exist...

I think it's a lack of respect to those that applied to Touro for some people to trash talk Touro and claim they so desperate that they got full scholarship and lied about it.
 
I don't see why feralis would lie about this, but his responses doesn't seem to convincing either.
I have to agree that it's pretty entertaining though.
