It is more likely than not that Touro is NOT offering full ride scholarships to applicants who did not apply. The reasonable and simple way to end all this speculation was to just email Touro admissions, and this was their response:

Inquiry:
"Dear Office of Admissions,
There has been much discussion recently on the pre-dental forums of Student Doctor Network about Touro College of Dental Medicine awarding full ride scholarships to individuals who did not apply directly through AADSAS. Acceptance with scholarship offers without a prior interview were said to be contingent on verification of GPA/DAT, a clean criminal background check, and at least three other acceptance offers. Can you confirm that this scholarship opportunity exists? If so, how many individuals received these offers, and what was the criteria for selecting these individuals? Your verification or discreditation of this circulating rumor would be appreciated by hundreds of potential applicants.
Thank you so much for your time."

Response (from James Demaio,

"This rumor is utterly false, with absolutely no truth to it. Feel free to post this email on the forum.
I would also ask that you request the individual making this claim to furnish proof by posting the offer with official Touro College of Dental Medicine Admissions letterhead. Tell them they can black out their name if they are concerned about others knowing who they are. I speculate they will either respond with anger and some nonsensical excuse, or go silent about the matter. The lack of proof should quell the concerns of forum participants.
Sincerely,
TCDM @ NYMC Admissions"
